I bought one the next week! I love this tool. It makes getting ready faster AND leaves my hair straight and silky smooth! Best hair tool I have ever owned.

Best Solution for Straightening Hair

My wife was skeptical and did not like that I had spent the money to buy this for her.
She wanted me to return it without even trying it out. I urged her to give it a try and told her I could return it if she wasn't happy with it. She was so happy with it after the first use that when I joked it was going back, she replied "over YOUR dead body"! She loves it and I'm the hero for burying it for her. Thanks Dyson!

Excellent for Indian wavy hair

I have very curly/ frizzy hair . I use hair straightener twice a week to get rid of frizz. Straightener makes my hair brittle and I end up having lots of split ends.
After reading about Dyson Airstrait , I wanted to give it a try. I used it on damp hair and OMG it dried and straightened my hair quickly and efficiently . My hair felt soft and shiny .
I also used it next day on dry hair and it straightened my hair without heat. I just love this tool.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I had high hopes....

I really wanted to love this, but I don't. I have very thick, coarse, frizzy curly hair. It definitely makes it stick straight - I think too straight. But I probably could have lived with that. The problem that even though they market it as not causing damage, it does. My ends were never smooth and I realized the high heat was damaging the ends - even with heat protectant. Eventually I gave up and went to sell it and was shocked at how many are on the resale market. I am sure it works for some hair types but clearly not everyone loves these.... I am back to using a round brush dryer and am much happier.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Quick on the styling!

I purchased the air straight about a month ago and can say I’m in love! Towel dried hair to silky smooth in about 10 minutes! Seems like this method of styling will be much less damaging than drying hair and flat ironing. I have course hair that’s very wavy naturally.

I hate to blow dry my hair, actually I don’t know how to style it and this was amazing. After I’m done using the airstrait my hair looks great. The cost is a little high but for me it’s so worth it because my hair looks great like if I went to a salon.

It has two hot plates despite the description

It actually works on my wavy frizzy hair! Both wet and dry! But it takes longer to use this than it takes to dry then flat iron your hair. It does have two plates (ceramic maybe) that get very hot, just like a flat iron, despite the item’s description. I am keeping this. I hope I get faster at it.
