I bought this item for my curly hair ... I followed the directions and it didn't do as advertised. I tried twice and both times ended up using my dyson straightener anyways. Returned the product 3 weeks ago ...still no credit and was told I would not get my tax returned either. Only the cost of the machine. Until this purchase I was a total dyson supporter with many items ....now I won't ever again!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Does not work in altitude

I am a great fan of Dyson products, but in this case I am super disappointed that the product does not work in places with altitude! I can understand that happening but I do not agree this not being mentioned anywhere in the product characteristics. I bought mine and have not been able to use it once as it displays an error. Customer service surprised me with this altitude condition, which is very disappointing and I will need to return the machine without even trying it. Please be vocal and clear about this product limitation to avoid others getting disappointed as I did

Wanted to love the air strait

So I own the Dyson blow dryer and the cordless straightener . And the airwave . The blow dryer and straightener are awesome , however the air strait seems time consuming . You need to have the roots of the hair pretty dry or make multiple passes over sections . But the thing that out weighs it being time consuming , is it makes the hair smooth and straight not like a traditional flat iron it does leave the hair looking shinier and healthier when finished

Absolutely worth the investment, results last for days and I have never gotten more compliments on simply straightened hair!! Definitely would recommend!

I was hesitant to buy given the high price, but it is worth it! Extremely good quality and so easy to use. I have fine, thin hair, and this is far less damaging than heated plate straighteners. Love the feature to set it down while you are picking up different hair sections. Give this gift to yourself - you won't regret it!

It takes a little bit of experimenting

I've used it several times now, all with different results! It takes a little bit of experimenting depending on your hair type. I have curly/wavy hair, and if I don't use the blow-dry function and just use it to straighten, it works perfectly. If I use the blowdry function, my hair frizzes up and there's nothing I can do to save it. Overall, now that I'm figuring out what works, it's a dream! It saves so much time and has given me so much flexibility around when I can wash my hair because I know I can get it dry and perfectly straight and smooth in just 20 minutes.
