I bought this 2 weeks ago. It does dry the hair quickly and straightens curly hair for the most part, but it remains dry and frizzy, if that's your curly type (tight frizzy curls). You then still have to go over each section with a regular hot flat iron to smooth it out, so that your hair looks presentable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the Airstrait! I own the Dyson hairdryer and Corrale Straightener. I was looking for one tool I can travel with. The Airstrait works beautifully on my wavy hair. I don’t have to first blow dry my hair and then straighten it. This tool does it all fast and precise. It’s worth the investment.

I received my Dyson Airstraight within 4 days of ordering. I have wavy corse hair. My hair tends to become frizzy during the summer months as well. Upon using this item I noticed it is very powerful even with the temp down, really delivers a great blow out. My hair needs a bit extra on rainy days, not even worth the blowout. But what a difference it made in my style blowout that I did just after with my Dyson supersonic.

Not as functional as regular straightener. The cord is quite bulky and the straightener itself is really large. I love my Dyson vacuum but so far I’m not a fan of the straightener :(

Its great at drying and straightening my hair but it does work close to my scalp so I find that I need to use a hair dryer to 1st dry the hair close to my scalp and then finish it with the Airstrait which is not ideal.
