I couldn't afford this but splurged anyway. AND WORTH IT. It does a great job of drying AND straightening my hair without frizz. Miracle stuff in HALF the time it used to take me to dry and straighten hair.

This is perfect for me (my hair type is 1C) because I like having my hair straight but I’m not very good at blow drying. This makes it super easy and I love that I can use this on wet hair successfully. Even though it claims to not cause heat damage, I don’t believe any of that, so I always use plenty of heat protectant. And my hair has been completely fine.
My only complaint is that the cord is very long and huge. But for the job that it does, this is minor. Also please know this only does one hair style (straight). You can’t do flat iron curls or anything like that with this tool.

I have been thinking about getting a Dyson product for years. A friend suggested, who has the whole range, that if I pick one it should be this one.
It gets my long curlyish hair a nicely blowout look from towel-wet IN 16 MINUTES!!!
I don’t have time to do 30-40 minute sessions, but this leaves my hair well done super quickly for any VIP event.
I don’t see the damage as you usually do right away after a regular straightener but I am sure this doesn’t help damage either, but is at least more gentle.
I cannot recommend it enough, I would definitely buy again.

I had high hopes for this but I returned it. You had to use another dryer and get your hair about 75 percent dry for it to work. It was very heavy and my hand hurt when I used it. I love all of my other Dyson products.

I purchased this in hopes it would straighten my hair and be quicker than a blower dryer and brush. It was not, it took longer and fried my hair. It was an expensive mistake.

I have used this several times a week since I bought it last month. I have really thick, wavy hair so I section out my hair. When wet, it does require multiple passes from the wand to get as straight as I want it. Still, with the alternative being blow drying my hair and then using a straightener, I am done with my hair in half the time with the Airstraight. My hair is so much softer with the Airstraight than with a regular straightener. It has made hair wash days so much easier.
