I use my Airstrait on a very regular basis, and all I can say is that I love it. Before, I would blow-dry my hair regularly, but I only straightened it with a flat iron every once in a while, so I usually wore my hair in a ponytail. Now, with the Airstrait, it normally takes me about 20 minutes to style my hair, and I love how smooth and shiny it looks. It makes it so much easier for me to wear my hair down instead of always putting it up.

This is my absolute favorite Dyson appliance. I have frizzy hair and had been using a flat iron. It worked well but I was having a lot of breakage and damage from it. With the Dyson straightener, my hair is straight, shiny and I’m not having the breakage! I was reluctant to buy this because I already had the hair dryer and the air wrap but it is a game changer for me!

The Dyson Airstrait is an innovative hair tool. We all want our hair to look smooth and shiny with little effort and little heat damage. There is a learning curve with this tool. My hair is curly and fine. The Airstrait grabs my hair for needed tension. I know I will get better results as my hair grows. The machine cleans itself as soon as you turn it on. This feature is one less thing you have to worry about. I also like that the air slows down when you put it on the table. This stops your items from flying all over the place. It heats up fast and you know exactly what the temperature is. I use it on the second to highest setting. There is a wet and dry mode. I think you get better results in the wet mode because in dry mode your hair style is already set so its harder to get the results you may want. The cord is long and the power block is a little cumbersome. I make i leave it on the counter when using the Airstrait. The plates don't get super hot so there is less chance of burning your hand. . The Airstrait is surprisingly lightweight. If you want your hair to be smooth and straight with minimal damage Then this tool is for you.

I bought this about a month ago. My hair texture changed about a year ago due to perimenopause. It is now frizzy and doesn’t respond to my usual styling. I have the Dyson hairdryer and air wrap. Both are high-quality and excellent items however it didn’t work to help Remove the frizz. The straightener was my last attempt at figuring out how to style my hair better with minimal time. And it does the trick. It doesn’t dry out my hair. It removes the frizz. And I wake up the next morning with shiny hair that I am happy with.

This machine requires too much effort to use. I have small arthritic hands, and have difficulty gripping the plates long enough to fully dry my thin hair. The power cord is very thick, heavy, and does not swivel, which makes the machine even more cumbersome to use. Also, the Airstrait gets hotter than advertised, and it is damaging my hair. Good concept, but falls short in many aspects. Maybe version 2.0 can include plates that close automatically, a cord that swivels, and perhaps lower the temperature enough to accommodate more delicate hair types.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
