[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a horrible experience. I was sold on the combination air dryer abd straightener in the SF showroom. The saleswoman was nice; but should have known that the technology is not there for persons with short hair. All the instruction manuals that I was not shown until after the purchase demonstrate the product on very long hair. In addition, the product is very heavy And the cord is chunky. I would have been better off with the cordless Dyson hairdryer and a separate straightener. Your staff does not know it’s audience or product. I sent it back.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Waiting for this for 30 years!

I’ve literally been waiting for this for 30 years - since I was 9 and the hairdresser showed me I had curly hair. I’ve be never embraced my curls and the Airstrait is by far the easiest item I’ve used to get straight hair! I am fully obsessed and love it.

I wanted to love the hairstrait. I adore the hairdryer and vacuum. However, I would return my hairstrait if I could. It pulled my hair out, left my hair frizzy and was heavy and annoying to use. So sorry to waste all that money’

This straightener works excellently even when my hair is super wet. I have really long medium-thick hair. It shins up nicely and my hair hasn't seemed to be damaged from it.

It actually works!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ll admit, I was very skeptical about this tool since I didn’t have much luck with the AirWrap. But guys, this one actually works! And it works well! I am able to use it on completely wet or totally dry hair and it softens and straightens it out. The features are super cool, I love that it self cleans every time you turn it on. You can also use it as just a blow dryer, in a pinch. The other day my hair dryer broke in the middle of me drying my hair and I pulled this out to finish the job. Extra bonus point for zero hot plates and zero heat damage! A definite must have for anyone who blow dries and straightens their hair on the regular.

This hair dryer is sorcery! Just a few passes per strand on the highest heat setting, and highest airflow and my hair is perfectly straight like I have previously dried it and then have taken my flat iron to it after. I am impressed. I will say I don’t think it sped up the drying time, but it did get it straighter then me drying my hair with the Dyson Airwrap and then flat ironing it. The Airstrait cut out the need to flat iron my hair! But it’s totally worth it for me because it does end up saving me time in the long run because I can cut out a step. I usually curl my hair after I flat iron but now I can go straight to it after drying. It is of course expensive but it is totally worth it. It might even replace my Airwrap. I have somewhere between curly and wavy hair and it did a great job straightening it. There was basically no frizz, and other than my shampoo and conditioner I didn’t add anything else to it before I dried it. Dyson has the best hair tools. It does have a hefty price tag but it’s worth it!

It’s almost perfect

I’ve had this thing for a few weeks now and I will say, I’m not mad at it. It does a way better job than the blow dryer brush we’re all used to. However, things I am no excited about are - the cord. It’s heavy and worse than a laptop charger. My hand gets tired from having to squeeze and manipulate the airstrait. And last I don’t like that you have to use a good amount of smoothing product to achieve that polished straightener look.
However, once you find the right products to make your hair smooth, this thing does wonders. This is definitely for all the girlies who like their hair straight all the time. So far I can get my wavy medium length hair done in 12 mins. Im trying to get it down to ten to really be worth my investment. If it just smoothed better on it’s own without product, id have given it 5 stars.

I tend to let my hair air dry into waves or curls since I do not want to take the time to blow it out or let it dry only to straighten it. I love that this can go from wet to straight and dry so quickly! Gifted by Dyson
