Cleans really well for a cordless

I bought the Shark PowerDetect Clean & Empty after buying and using the Shark Clean & Empty Cordless for a couple of months (I still have it but will likely use it in our camper or give it to a family member).
This one is much more powerful, has features that are much smarter and well implemented than those of the Shark Clean & Empty Cordless but then the price is quite different as well so in this case, you really do get what you pay for.
I'm surprised at how well the Shark Cordless PowerDetect Clean & Empty works comparatively.
It doesn't struggle or lose suction, it seems able to pick up everything in its path on both hard floors and on carpet and the indicator lights changing color to indicate the detection of dirt is spot on.
You can see the little crumbs or bits on the floor just before you run over them and just like you'd expect, the vacuum, detects it, changes the color of the light and if there is several bits of debris, it will even increase the speed of the motor and then ramp back down to save battery after detecting there is nothing else being picked up.
The "Detect" features work VERY well and it runs much longer on battery than the Shark Clean & Empty Cordless in spite of their similarities.
The build quality is also much nicer as well.

I'm a skeptic when it comes to features that seem gimmicky but I'll admit that this Shark cordless really does do all that it says it will do and I'm super happy with my purchase.

If you are considering a Shark cordless vacuum, I would recommend going ahead and getting the Shark Cordless PowerDetect Clean & Empty.
Their model names are SOOOO similar that it is definitely confusing but this is their top tier vacuum for a reason, it is leagues above their others.

If you're bald and have no pets

Great if you are bald and have no pets. Hair gets caught and tangled on every possible component and renders it inoperable.

Horrible for rugs/multi use

Horrible with rugs and carpet.. wanted a multi use cordless to do hardwood and then carpet/large area rugs.. can’t move the vacuum at all on rugs so it is useless. Does ok on hardwood or tiled surfaces but when moving to rug it abruptly stops and has no vacuum motion even when changing mode manually. You hurt yourself trying to vacuum Worthless to me so I have a very overpriced dust buster.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Battery life too short

I bought this yesterday and it works well. I like everything about it but the battery life is incredibly short. My house is about 2700 square feet and it is going to take me 4 charges (5 hours a charge) to get the whole thing done. It would be fine to do a zone each day, but I prefer cleaning all in one day.
