Self-Empty Issues

I loved this vacuum, but the canister door to self-empty has gotten stuck and won't open. I've tried spraying the mechanism with compressed air, but it hasn't helped. Suction is good, love the attachments and the battery-life. I just wish the self-empty feature was working properly - it was great while it lasted.

Very Well Executed Design!

This is such a wonderful idea and it is really well executed. My house is about 1,300 square feet and has tile floors with an area rug and bathroom mats. The vacuum is so quiet that it feels like it can't possibly be working well, but it is. It picks up everything, even the white dust created by the humidifier, but it doesn't eat shoe laces or get tangled with hair. The first time I used it, I did kill the battery before I was done even though I had charged it fully, but I haven't had that problem again. The power on the area rug is insane and the rug looks brand new when I'm done vacuuming it. I am still figuring out the strategy for carpet though; letting it choose the suction makes it very hard to push on my relatively high-pile rug and will move the rug across the floor if I'm not standing on it. Last time, I turned it down to eco mode, and that made it easier while still leaving the carpet looking new. Vacuuming the bathmats is somewhat challenging because they aren't stiff enough to stay down even on eco mode, but I'm getting the hang of it. I can get under all of my furniture and the head is narrow enough to get into all the spaces I need it to. If it doesn't quite fit, the angles that the head moves side to side allow me to get in there. The vacuum is really convenient to use and it being cordless is a big deal for me because I have a lot of furniture that isn't against a wall, so I have to go all the way around it, which was a giant pain with a cord. The self-emptying feature is awesome! It is louder than the vacuum, but it's very quick. The first time I used it, I thought I was still going to have to open the vacuum canister because there was still hair in the vacuum, but it has three stages that it runs, base suction, vacuum, then base again, which took care of the ball of hair. I rent, so I appreciated not having to mount it on the wall like you do with so many others. It folds up on itself, which is super handy when I need to stop vacuuming to move something. I can just fold it over and leave it standing where it is; I don't have to lay it on the floor, lean it against the wall, or return it to its base. I have used a Dyson stick vac and wasn't very impressed with it, but I am exceeding pleased with this Shark!

Garbage

Vacuum didn't even last 2 weeks what a pile of junk. Doing my usual cleaning screen gliched out and it won't turn on any more. In my 2 weeks of using this garbage it's ridiculously loud the dirt compartment door is terrible to use mediocre battery life and 2 useless settings do better

This thing sucks...but in a way good way! I had a Tineco that I thought was good until I got this cordless Shark...it even dumps it's own dirt! The edge clean is amazing. The lights all over it make it fun to vacuum and boy does it make the dirt glow! My grandkids love to use it so now this Mimi can sit down for a second..lol. Loved it so much I bought one for my daughter in law.

Great vs. Good

Depending on your needs, this vacuum could be 4 or 5 stars. It has incredibly strong suction power, but that renders it hard to use on a carpet. Keep in mind that I am an “older user” without great strength and my house is mainly hard word floors. I do not need all that power
