Second vacuum, first one stopped working

We are having issues with this new replacement. It will stop working in the middle of vacuuming after just a few minutes into the task. Also, unlike the original Shark, this one will stop on one of our area rugs.

Easy to use Vacuum Cleaner!

I bought this vacuum cleaner a month ago and it’s amazing. It’s easy to move around and it has powerful suction, it removes the debris and picks up hair and all debris. It’s light and easy to move around. I love using this vacuum cleaner!

Powerful, effective vacuum

Very nice cordless vacuum. Shark honored the warranty on my year and half old cordless vacuum after several sensors went bad. They replaced it for free (other than nominal delivery fee) with this upgraded version. It's a powerful, effective vacuum cleaner, picking up the daily fur my golden retriever mix dog loses. The downside is the roller brush is so strong it doesn't roll over small rugs or thin runners easily -- often gathering up the material and jamming. That's why it didn't get 5 stars.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This model has a lot of power compared to the smaller models. Able to clean the whole house in a single charge. The lighted hood makes it easy to see dirt and the power detect is a great feature.

Warning regarding ergonomics – test it first

On the positive side, the vacuum is reasonably lightweight and easy to handle. The headlight is also excellent; it really illuminates the floor and helps you see all the dust and dirt clearly.
However, the joint on the cleaner head has a serious design flaw. The upright lock mechanism is way too sensitive. If you only have a large, open floor space, it might work fine. But in a real home where you need to maneuver around chairs, under tables, behind doors, and next to cabinets, the joint constantly clicks and locks into the 90-degree upright position every single time you pull the vacuum closer to yourself. Having to constantly step on it to snap it back into the operating position is incredibly frustrating.
This is definitely not a safe blind buy. I highly recommend testing the vacuum in a store before purchasing to make sure the ergonomics work for your height and layout. I sincerely hope that the next models will have this head lock design issue solved, since otherwise I could recommend this product.

Doesn’t pick up dirt or dog hair very well

My kids have it to me for Christmas. It doesn’t pick up the dirt or dog hair very well. I did use this other shirt before and this does not work as well. May have to try a different brand or type.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Replacement vacuum

I have never owned a cordless vacuum before. The last one I had was a Sears Kenmore canister that was more than 20 years old. The Shark Ninja is a great replacement. Lightweight and easy to use. Works well going from surface to surface and has good suction. I was able to vacuum my whole house including bathrooms and kitchen and did not loose power or suction.

I’ve had my vacuum for about a year, and let me just say I’ve hated it! First, the run time lasts about 30 minutes. The level of frustration I get when I am mid clean session and it just dies!!! 😡 I’m a mother of 2 and have 2 dogs and 2 cats. I need my vacuum to work and run longer than 30 minutes. Second, the amount of clogs I have to clear out of the unit every single time I have to use it, it’s such an inconvenience and a huge waist of time. I clean my filters weekly, but that doesn’t help. If you have a home full of pets and people … this is NOT the unit for you. The moment that front brush is clogged with hair, it’s no longer going to have the same suction and more hair and dirt is left behind. It’s more like you’re just pushing it around. I’ve always been a Bissell or Dyson person … consider this me going back! Even the attachments suck! Only thing I like about it is the self emptying feature. Keeps dust at a minimum. If your company would like to utilize me as product testers … I welcome that. Maybe I can help you make these machines better.
