Great size, form factor and aspect ratio.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed a new phone and I chose the fold 8 instead of the ultra because I fell in love with it's size. I'm really enjoying using it every day, playing games and watching videos. Switching between the front screen and the fold out view has been a new and novel experience for me, it truly feels like a new-gen type of device.
A minor complaint is that I really wish the fold 8 had the camera capability of the ultra version. The camera on my old S23 Ultra was better than this! I believe the smaller Z Fold 8 is, or will be, a more popular choice for consumers, so in my mind there is no reason to limit the better camera options to the bigger, less attractive phones.
The biggest problem I have with the Z Fold 8 is its side (power) button / fingerprint reader is very small. It feels almost flush with the phone, like there isn't really anything there when I try to press the button. For comparison, the volume button is incredibly tactile and easy to use with it being raised off the side like a normal button should be. The power button however feels like it's stuck, and I need to press down with more force for it to work. It does however contain the fingerprint reader, so maybe there are some technical restraints surrounding it. I don't know, but I think it's something that needs to be worked on for future phone models for sure.
I think the Z Fold 8 is pretty amazing, which makes my problems with it that much more disappointing, because it's so close to being a perfect device for me.

It’s fast, easy to use, and perfect for multitasking. The camera quality is excellent, and I love being able to use it as both a regular phone and a larger screen when I need it. I’m very happy with my Galaxy Z Fold 8 and would definitely recommend it!

Lighter, Smarter, and Perfect for My Lifestyle

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the Galaxy Z Fold8 because it fits perfectly into my lifestyle. I especially love the shape and size. It fits perfectly in my mini Chanel crossbody bag. As a busy mom, I’m often running around trying to keep up with my kiddo, so I really appreciate having a phone that’s compact enough to carry easily, while still offering a surprisingly large screen whether it’s folded or unfolded.
The wide screen is perfect for showing videos to my child or reviewing documents, presentation slides, and emails. I also love that it feels noticeably lighter than my previous Z Fold model, making it much more comfortable to carry around all day. The larger screen also makes multitasking so much easier when I need to work on the go.
Today is actually my birthday, and I took some pictures in the middle of the busy crowds in NYC. Later, I noticed that a random person appeared in several of our photos. I tried the Photo Assist feature to remove the person, and I was genuinely fascinated by how naturally and smoothly the AI filled in the background. I honestly had to look twice to see where the person had been!
Between the lighter design, the versatile folding shape, spacious screen, easy multitasking, and surprisingly impressive AI photo editing, the Galaxy Z Fold8 feels like a meaningful upgrade from my previous Fold. It’s practical for my busy everyday life, but it’s also genuinely fun to use.

If you like watching content on your phone, this is the perfect phone.

I use it for everything now - journaling in the Samsung Notes app, watching videos, doing my weekly planning with the Google Calendar and Samsung Reminders app, editing photo, you name it. Everything is fun on this phone in the Fold 8.
