A Multitasking Powerhouse, with minor gripes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Z Fold 8 continues to refine what makes a foldable great. The form factor is excellent, and the software experience is top-tier. Whether I am using the cover screen or have it fully opened, it is an absolute joy for reading, heavy multitasking, and watching videos. Samsung has really dialed in the day-to-day usability.
As for the cameras, it is no secret that the telephoto lens is lacking compared to standard flagships, so there are no surprises there. However, my biggest gripe is the opened-position selfie camera. The current placement sometimes blocks text on the screen, which gets frustrating when you are trying to read or get things done. Samsung really should take a page out of Google's book and move it to the corner, similar to the Pixel Fold, to keep the screen clear.
Overall, despite the camera quirks, I absolutely love this phone. If you want a device that excels at productivity and media consumption in both folded and unfolded positions, it is hard to beat.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the new galaxy Z fold 8 for the great new passport size! This is the perfect size phone! Love Love Love
I love the phone but I live in FL and Everytime I try to use my Z Fold 8 in direct sunlight it dims the screen a lot. Also when using Maps on my car dash it dims the screen to black and can't see anything. I hope they fix this I'll have to return the phone. My other issue which I can keep ve with this is social media apps cut the videos because of how short the screen is but thats more an app developer issue.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the Samsung Z Fold 8 for a plethora of reasons, but mainly for the form factor. I use my phone mainly for social media and reading books, and this phone seems like it was made just for that! The screens are beautiful, crystal clear, and I love how bright both the outer and inner screens can get! The new battery this year is also outstanding and lasts me a whole day with no need to charge it or worry the battery will die on me. I would recommend this phone to anyone who uses their smartphone for FUN!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm really impressed with the Galaxy Fold8. The large inner display is fantastic for multitasking, watching videos with less black bars, gaming, and everyday use. The thinner and lighter design makes this generation feels much more refined and comfortable than previous models.
My only real gripe is one-handed use and the lack of telephoto zoom lens. When folded, reaching all the way across the opposite side of the screen can be a little difficult. I choose to remedy that by pairing it with magnetic clear case and a Popsocket Low Pro. This combination gives a much more secure grip and makes reaching across the screen significantly easier without adding too much bulk. With regards to the lack of telephoto zoom lens, I'll just have to live without it.
Overall, I choose to embrace the Fold8 because I've been wanting a more normal phone experience vs the candidate very narrow feel of the Ultra. I've had Fold3 and 5 and upgrading to this phone from the 5 is a huge and warranted upgrade. I'm glad I went with the "wide" version I've actually been more productive than the slimmer form of foldables.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had the Z Fold 4 and 5, and wanted an upgrade to something lighter, but the same phone as I had in the past. I looked at the 8 Ultra but decided on the 8 because of its shape. It just fits in the pocket better than the taller 8 Ultra. I've only had it a few days and really love it, especially the battery life. My upgrade is exactly that. A better device.
