[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first foldable phone and let me tell you, hands down the most exciting thing I've gotten since I was a kid on Christmas and opened up my brand new gaming console. Im 30 years old and I feel like a kid all over again. For some, I chose the fold 8 to be my next upgrade after owning the S24 ultra for awhile because I've been waiting for a foldable that was more compact. I love the idea of opening a phone and turning it into a tablet. The best things about this phone is the size and compact. Playing games, watching movies, and even doing school work on this has been amazing. Honestly was really surprised how comfortable it was to take my phone to school and multi task my book and notes side by side and have enough room to see everything. Best investment of all time. Can't wait to see what samsung comes out next in the near future!

The fold dimensions I've been waiting for

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been a big fan of the Galaxy Z Fold phones since their inception. While they have all been pleasant to use, I have always felt the proportions to be awkward in daily usage. I chose the new Galaxy Z Fold 8 for it's passport style dimensions and I can happily say that these are the proportions I have been looking for.
The front screen is wide enough for images in content to render well. I find that the shorter height has actually helped me focus better when consuming content such as news feeds, etc, since I have fewer "next items" on screen at a time. I can't understate how much this subtle difference has made me enjoy using my phone more. I feel like I am doing less doomscrolling and more engaging with content.
For content where a larger screen is useful, the transition to the inner screen is smooth and keeps me in the content. The landscape orientation is wonderful for images and movies, while the vertical orientation is great for reading longer articles.
And while the Z Fold 8 has fewer camera lenses than my previous Z Fold 7, the pictures I have taken with it have been stunning. More than enough for my needs as an avid world traveler who likes to take photos. I have been particularly impressed with the low light photos.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I chose the fold 8 for the new form factor and chipset. I was using a sw5 ultra and really liked that as well. I traded it in so that I can get the fold 8. I'm very pleased with it. I gamed on it for 4 hours straight and no major issues ( it got a little warm) battery was pretty good. I mainly use my fold to watch YouTube and to stream. I finally used the multi app capabilities, that worked really well. I havnt really used the camera much. The form factor is the best attribute for me. I love the small screen that opens to a tablet. I havnt had it more than a month. But so far I'm really liking it.

My only feedback, ♥️ not all apps show up appropriately, example tik tok, I went to do a review and for some reason I cannot see what I am typing and what I do type is going backwards. Not sure it's the phone or the app.
There are a few other apps where you only see some of or a part of the scene. It c I understand be due to the phone screen is smaller but none of that takes away from the size!!! I love this phone.

The phone is so compact and lightweight. It's easier to travel with and fits in my smaller hand bags with no problem
I recently was traveling on a plane and was able to watch a movie during the flight the visual was amazing and sound quality was great! I also played my games and puzzles the battery lasted all day. I can't say enough about how pleased I am with this phone.
