If you want to hold the future, this is it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone who works a lot in community and a way from my desk most of the time, having something that is portable and easy to use one handed while also having the functionality to turn into a larger format for some more intense work was always a dream. This phone scratched that itch in the best way! Although I am a long time Samsung user, this phone feels like the most fresh and exhilarating take on foldable tech in yearsI
The form factor on the front is extremely accessible and encourages me to use it while also beckoning me towards the inner display whenever I want to sit for longer periods of content consumption or multitasking. This is the kind of functionality that I know many other potential users are looking for, and the fact that it comes in such a light package is actually pretty remarkable. I chose to try and adopt this new form factor not knowing what to expect, but I imagine that this phone will go down as one of my all time favorites! If you're on the fence, do yourself a favor and TRY IT! You won't get this experience anywhere else.

Initial thought moving crom Ultra 26

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First the device felt smaller coming from a Ultra 20 series device, which I have used for the past 5 years.
Some things I would like improved.
Note mentioned in any reviews is the change for biometrics from screen to side button. It sometimes hard to locate this button and i find myself touching the top panel delaying unlock.
Like previous Ultra there is no screen resolution options, ar least that I can find.
I have a very organized app / icon approach which works with a single screen, size. When I repeat this organization on Fold 8, which I imagine would be same for any fold device. The icons are all to the left side and i have lot of empty space to right. I suppose I could move to a multiple page app management but that then would require multiple swipes to get to an app. I would like to see an option to manage 'full screen' view vs folded. There is option for seperate wallpaper between.
I also neeed to adjust my font size so overall minor adjustments and more adjusting to new form factor.
I like the weight, pocket size. From years of using a large smartphone, it feels refreshing to have a brick in my pocket.
I look forward to the coming days & weeks using the Fold 8 in my day to day tasks.

Great size for the z fold 8.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had many Samsung phones over the years, I chose to go with the Galaxy Z Fold8, and I'm really happy with my choice. The larger foldable display is perfect for multitasking, reading, streaming, and getting work done without carrying a tablet. When folded, it still feels like a premium everyday phone that fits comfortably in my pocket.
The performance is fast and responsive, the battery easily gets me through the day, and the cameras take excellent photos in a variety of situations. I also appreciate the improved durability and refined design. The crease is barely noticeable to the touch or eye.
If you're looking for a phone that stands out while offering great productivity and entertainment, the Galaxy Z Fold8 is absolutely worth considering.

Love love love the size

The best z fold so far!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose to switch to the z fold 8 from the z fold 6. The shorter front screen in a passport style coupled with the large mini tablet inner screen is honestly amazing. The front screen is comfortable in the hand, but can still display media very well. When the phone is closed it is like a slightly wider and shorter s26 ultra. When the phone is open is reminds me of the nexus 7: very comfortable in the hand while providing that mini tablet experience. The cameras, speed, thickness, aspect ratio, screens, battery, and weight are definitely upgrades. However, coming from the Z Fold 6, I do miss the S Pen and its features, and I would love for a future version to have S Pen support on both screens. The lack of flex mode is a slight annoyance but not a deal breaker, especially since the phone opens up much easier. The lack of s26 ultra level cameras are also an annoyance, especially for the price. The speaker placement is bad for this phone when opened, since the sound is only on the left side when opened in landscape mode. My last negative is the inside screen camera hole, since it does block content, especially compared ro the z fold 6. With that being said, it is still the best z fole so far. The ultra has the better specs, but this phone is very versatile going from a short phone to a mini tablet.
