It's a great new form factor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the z fold 8 because I loved the form factor when folded it's great it's smaller then my previous phone. And when it's unfolded Its even better it's the perfect size for watching tv, and reading.
My biggest grive is the speaker positions when unfolded it's lopsided, and second not a lot of apps support dual screen form factor, but that comes with time considering it's a new type.

Nearly perfect compact folding phone

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've owned both a Z Flip and Z Fold, and feel like the new "wide" Fold 8 is the best format for a compact folding phone. Having a 4:3 aspect ratio inner screen is best for many applications, from e-books to watching videos. The outer screen takes a bit of getting used to, but the width and reduced height make it a pleasure to use when quickly responding to texts/emails/etc. Two-thumb typing is great. Gripes? A phone at this price should have a good optical zoom camera (I'd rather have this vs. the ultra-wide included, but not a deal breaker by any means). Also, for a device that is geared towards media consumption in landscape orientation - why are the speakers on one side? No stereo unless you are in portrait. I guess that makes sense for vertical content from social media, but it would be nice to have stereo in landscape mode as well. One note of thanks - finally...a anti-glare screen protector for the inner folding screen. This was a huge downer for the Fold 7 and I'm glad it's finally been fixed. 9/10 Samsung, well done.

I've had every Z fold since the 3, and the new passport style is a refreshing change. I'm glad I chose the Fold 8 over the ultra, it has exactly the features I need. Reading and watching videos is so natural on the Fold 8. Very happy with my purchase!

It stands out as the most exciting smartphone released in years. A Revolution in Form Factor. The completely reimagined passport-sized design feels incredibly fresh. Dropping down to a historic 201-gram weight, it is the lightest and flattest book-style foldable ever manufactured. The shorter, wider 5.5-inch cover screen solves the cramped typing issues of previous generations. It behaves exactly like a traditional flagship phone when closed, which is exactly why I chose this device over traditional brick phones. Next-Level Inner Screen Unfolding the device reveals a gorgeous 7.6-inch AMOLED display with an optimized 4:3 aspect ratio. Media consumption and mobile gaming feel immersive, with minimal wasted black bars. The inner screen boasts a massive 3,000 nits of peak brightness and an anti-reflective coating that makes visibility crystal clear under direct sunlight. I loved those too but the size of the phone when folded was always kinda narrow for me. The new wide front screen on the zfold 8 is a very welcome new addition. Love the phone so far

The best phone I've ever had

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the Z Fold 8 for many reason, but none of the reasons I had even came close once I recieved the phone. It's amazing piece of tech, but it's even more amazing once you incorporate it into our daily life. The front screen is just enough but wider so texting on the go is easier. Less pocket place but still thinner than my previous slab phone. And the inner folding screen is simply a work of art. I honestly can't imagine having another slab phone after this experience. Bravo Samsung, Bravo!
