The right choice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the Z fold 8 because I wanted a passport style foldable and didn't really care for the narrow front screen on the Fold Ultra. This is truly a piece of art. The front screen is beautiful and the inside crease is barely noticeable compared to older Fold models I've had. Ecstatic with my purchase.

The form factor!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The best thing about the phone is the form. It fits perfectly in my hand. While saying that, it does everything you'd expect from a Samsung phone and it does it very well. But the fact that I can use the cover screen for almost everything and then open it up to the large display to watch videos or play games is amazing and the reason I chose the Z fold 8. I hope Samsung keeps this form going forward. The Z fold 8 is a total win and I've been using Samsung phones since the S6!!

I like that I can open it and watch movies or social media or books! It is very responsive to my touch and it works equally well with the screen protector on. The buttons are very well place to easily reach closed or open. I chose the white/cream color.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I personally never liked the fold series due to its bulky looking phone and doesn't fit in pocket & body bag. I finally took the plunge and upgraded to the Galaxy Z Fold 8, and I am seriously impressed.
The Outer Screen: You can actually type comfortably on the front screen now without hitting wrong keys.
The Crease: It is practically gone compared to older models; you only notice it if you really look for it under direct light.
Performance: The speed is incredible, and running apps side-by-side doesn't slow it down at all.
Build Quality: It is surprisingly thin and light in the pocket for a folding phone.Battery & Fast Charging: Easily gets me through a full day of heavy streaming. The jump to 45W wired charging is a game-changer. It also handles 20W wireless charging seamlessly.

Perfect form factor for a foldable

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose to upgrade to the Z Fold8 from the Z Fold6 because I didn't use the main screen enough. Most of that was to do with the shape of the screen. A square wasn't really usable for many scenarios. Now with the 4:3 main screen, I find myself opening the phone a lot more than I ever did on the Fold6, whether it's to watch YouTube videos, scroll on a browser, or see larger images. The cover screen is also a really nice aspect ratio. It's great for 16:9 videos as well as looking at 2:3 photos I take on my mirrorless camera. The battery life has also been a big upgrade. I usually found myself in the 20-30% range by the end of the day on the Z Fold6, while on the Z Fold8, I've been mostly in the 40s by the end of the day. The thickness of the phone is something I'm still impressed by. It's comparable to lots of normal phones when folded, and when it's unfolded, it feels like it shouldn't be possible to have something this thin. If it weren't for the form factor of the Z Fold6, I would've held onto that for much longer. Now with the Z Fold8, I expect to hold onto this for many years and feel no need to get something different.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This phone should have been called the ultra model because of the form factor. I hope the next iteration, Samsung incoperate the best camera into the phone. There are way more people that appreciate this form compared to the skinny long brick types.
For starter I hardly even open the phone now, unless I'm watching movie or need to multi task. The outer screen is so perfectly shaped for one hand use. All those typing error and strugles I used to have with my fold 6 is now gone.
Z Fold 8 is also so light and compact it slides into every space with ease. Battery life is excellent, speakers are louder than my s26 ultra. You already know the camera is good. Except it doesn't have the super zoom like the ultra. Which is a big miss from Samsung. Give people options. Put everything in this form factor and let us chose which one we prefer not forcing us to choose withing so quirky options.
I have a leather case with the mag safe ring kickstand on mine and boy oh boy. I've never been so happy to use a phone like I'm with this. It's hard to out down. The usability is just so good. I love, love, love this phone and the form factor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I previously had a Fold and ultimately went back to the S24 Ultra. While I loved the concept of a foldable, the narrower front screen was difficult to use comfortably with my larger hands, and the S24 Ultra was simply a great phone.
I chose to give the Fold another shot with the wider front screen on the Z Fold 8, and so far, I’m really glad I did. The wider front screen makes a noticeable difference for everyday use and feels much more natural to type and navigate on.
It has taken some time to get used to the different form factor and switching between the various screen sizes, but I find myself liking it more and more every day. The multitasking is probably one of my favorite features. Being able to have two or even three apps open at the same time makes it much easier to do things like browse the web while texting, check email while referencing another app, or watch something while doing something else. Once you get used to having that extra screen real estate, it’s surprisingly hard to go back to a traditional phone.
There are still some bugs and quirks, particularly with certain apps that haven't been fully optimized for the different screen sizes. Some apps don't always transition perfectly between the front and inner displays, but I expect that will improve as more apps catch up.
Overall, the Z Fold 8 has been a great experience. It’s definitely taken some adjustment, but the more I use it, the more useful I find the larger display and multitasking cap
