Finally a Foldable That Feels Like a Normal Phone

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the Galaxy Z Fold8 as my daily phone, and what impressed me most is how much more practical the Fold has become. It feels noticeably thinner and lighter than I expected, so when it’s folded, it actually feels comfortable to use like a regular phone.
The large inner screen is still the biggest reason to choose a Fold. I use it for browsing, reading, watching videos, checking emails, and multitasking. Being able to open two apps side by side is especially useful when I’m working or comparing information. The bigger screen also makes reading documents and websites much more comfortable without needing to grab a tablet.
I also like that I can do most quick tasks on the cover screen and only unfold the phone when I want more space. The transition between the two screens feels natural and makes the Fold8 surprisingly easy to use every day.
Battery life has been solid for my normal use, performance is fast, and the overall build feels premium. I still think foldables are expensive, and there are a few apps that could make better use of the larger screen, but this is the first Fold I’ve used that doesn’t feel like I’m making a big compromise just to get the folding screen.
Overall, I’m very happy with the Fold8. It gives me a phone and a small tablet in one device without feeling overly bulky.

Z Fold 8 2026

It’s not my first time dual wielding both ecosystems, but I wanted to see how this one would fare against everything I usually do. It’s smooth, it’s easy to use, it’s very customizable.

Vibes of Blackberry Storm

So for those of you who have been rockin smart devices since the days of the Palm, this device brings back memories of my Blackberry Storm as far as size and usability with the front screen. The part that makes it the best device I have used in my decades of smart devices is that it opens to an even larger screen when needed with the perfect aspect ratio both landscape and portrait.
I cannot comment on the AI features as I do not use them much, if at all.
I am an avid reader with the occasional media consumption along with the day to day multitasking required for my job in education. The Fold 8 is by far the best device I have owned in terms of usability, screen size, visibility, and overall functionality. The software is superb! I cannot say enough about this device. Its compact form and function are what we fold users have been begging for and Samsung listened!
It may not be for everybody, but for those of us who have tried it all, this device is pretty perfect.

Great Device!

Best phone for everyday use

I did so much research about the phone and watched countless reviews, some of which made me excited for the phone and some that made me hesitant. The conversation was always about how the specs look 'on paper', sacrificing the telephoto lens and some complaints about app optimization, but the reality is that for everyday use this is probably the best phone I've ever used and the most enjoyable by far. From scrolling through social media and watching movies, to actually using my phone for work, this phone has made each experience so much better. It's clear that this phone will only get better over time and I'm excited to see what the future updates will bring
