ultimate form factor, a must buy!

The features are amazing

I previously owned the Galaxy fold 7 but when I hear this year they were coming with a smaller but wider phone, I new I just had to have it. The phone is very light and does not weigh down my pocket. Also it is short enough to fit in my pants without sticking out through the top of the pocket.
I use this phone heavily for watching entertainment such as movies, TV shows & music. The aspect ratios on most videos are like 16:9, so with this phone, a lot of my videos fill out a lot of the screen.

New phone new possibility

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I choose galaxy devices. So far I have only had it for about 16 hours but switch from the zfold4 to the zfold8 and it's pretty much a triple improvement above the fold4. The cameras the screens all around better. Glad I made the upgrade.

Even Better Than My Fold6

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the Galaxy Z Fold8 after using the Fold6, which I absolutely loved. I honestly wasn’t sure how much of an upgrade it would feel like because I was already really happy with the Fold6, but the Fold8 is even better.
Everything just feels a little more refined. It’s fast, smooth, and the big inside screen is still my favorite part of owning a Fold. I use it constantly for emails, browsing, watching videos, reading, and having multiple apps open at the same time. Once you get used to having that much screen when you need it, it’s really hard to go back to a regular phone.
The Fold8 feels like Samsung took everything I loved about the Fold6 and made it better. I’m extremely happy I chose to upgrade. If you’re already a Fold fan, you’ll appreciate the improvements, and if you’ve never owned one, this is a great one to start with.

I love the design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose this product mainly because I always try and stay up to date with the latest Samsung gear. I enjoy having the option to trade in my old phone and get a credit to put towards the new phone, so I take advantage of that opportunity at the earliest possible time in order to maximize its value.
The ZFold8 fits my personal needs largely through its design. I drive constantly for work and travel purposes, and the sleek/small design allows it to rest comfortably in different places in the car. It also fits easily into my pocket which, as a female, is something that has always irritated me about the bigger phones. Furthermore, it's wide screen upon expansion is perfect for watching movies that require a widescreen format, another feature I use frequently.

Excellent form factor

I travel often for work and the outer and inner screen are perfect for documents on the go. It allows me to remain work fluid while also keeping in communication with family, friends, etc. Overall it is a fantastic device.

Love the new style fold 8

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Extremely happy I chose the new style of fold from Samsung. Previously owned the Z fold 5 and missed having a foldable when I switched to an S25 ultra. The compact size is great when folded and perfect when unfolded. Looking forward to using.

Awesome form factor but super janky and buggy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the Fold 8 because I wanted that small folded form factor and actually usable front screen, and it doesn't disappoint there. It's great to hold, great to use one handed and really easy to type on. Nice and bright and the stubby square-ish aspect ratio is a joy to type on.
Fits well in the hand, fits well in the pocket and it's very light, even lighter than my wife's iPhone pro.
Unfolded it's marvelous, the screen is wide and watching videos is very immersive. Hold it portrait style and it's like having a book in your hand.
Just overall a fantastic form factor!
So why three stars?
One UI 9 on the fold is not ready for prime time.
It is buggy and janky and very disappointing considering how well Samsung has designed the software experience on previous folds. I've owned the Fold 3, 6 and 7 and never had issues.
Apps like youtube constantly crash.
Browsers freeze up and links often don't open on the first try.
Doesn't play well with my galaxy watch. I've had to wipe and re-pair three times.
Many apps will freeze up when you open to the main screen, even if you've set them to open full screen they will often not and freeze up.

The worst is WIDGETS which I rely heavily on. It will not resize widgets between portrait and wide mode, and limits the amount of usable space because it can't fit them properly between portrait and wide mode.
The fingerprint sensor is weak and often doesn't work either.
So many bugs.
I hope they get them fixed ASAP!
