Love the Z Fold8!

I have had a phablet for several years (I made the switch with the Z Fold4, then stayed with the Z Fold6), but this is what I have always envisioned when having a phablet. I love the wider front screen and being able to open it up to the main screen and use it in portrait or landscape mode feels like a treat. Having the Z Fold8 is everything I have ever wanted in a phablet. I am so glad I chose to upgrade my phone, and so glad I went with the Z Fold8. To me, this phone is a revolutionary step forward for foldables.

Best phone design ever!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been purchasing Samsung phones and watches for over 20 years! I've always had a standard phone and not a foldable until this year. I purchased a Z Flip 7 but I just couldn't do enough on the cover screen. So I traded it in for an S26 Ultra. I loved the Ultra, I was always a huge fan of the Note series. Then, y'all decided to make the phone of my dreams, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 (WIDE). I am absolutely astounded by how great this phone is. I chose to pre-order it and glad I did, because y'all sold out. Congratulations on making such a wonderful device. Thank you for finally making the best fold there ever was!

Great launch of a new form factor and design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the Galaxy Z Fold8 because I really like the overall design and solid hardware build quality. In daily use, I do not notice the screen crease at all, which makes reading and media consumption seamless. However, there are a few minor drawbacks. The camera bump sticks out enough that the phone doesn't lay completely flat on a desk. Additionally, when watching movies, streaming shows, or gaming, the audio can feel very one sided due to the speaker placement. I also think Samsung could provide more tailored software updates to take full advantage of this unique foldable form factor. Overall, I'm very impressed with the hardware and design, which is why I chose this device. You barely notice the crease when using the main screen. My main points for improvement would be the camera bump (it doesn't lay flat), the one-sided audio when watching shows or gaming, and the need for more software updates customized for the new form factor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been a fold user from the beginning and what a difference the new form factor makes in the usability. I chose the Z Fold8 because of the improved screen crease when unfolded and the amazing thinness and new wide form factor. I consume a lot of media and the screen fold bump has completely gone away. Battery life seems to have improved as well and I make less mistakes typing with two thumbs on the wider keyboard. Love it. Well done Samsung.

Fits perfectly in my pocket as well as the unfolded shows movies and shows using most of the screen, unlike a square screen. The use of having two apps open at once and seeing everything you need on both. The thin total thickness is awesome and doesn't look awkward in my pocket. Samsung you did a great thing offering the Fold8 along with the bigger ultra version. This one is perfect for me.

Best Design and Productivity Device

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the Fold 8 over other similar devices because of the form factor and the screen quality. The device is fast, built to last, and the screens are bright and sharp.
I am in medicine and use the inner screen to view chest x-rays and CT scans. This device is so handy that I can review important data while in the car or on a walk. I rely on this phone for not just work. I have a 15 month old daughter and an 8 yr old son. I record precious moments with the fantastic camera!

Love the new form factor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm very happy I chose the Fold 8 for phone and daily driver. The slim design of the old folds was inconvenient and something I couldn't wait to get way from! 1 week in and so far the new wide body is amazing. Great for you tube and shoet form content from the front screen but even better when you have the option of opening up the phone for the bigger screen. The quality of the phone build is top notch and the thinness of it makes it feel like it's from the future. The only issues I've had with it are that some of the apps are not optimized for this new form factor yet so sometimes things are cut off or controls are awkward. That's just software though so I expect these nuances will be optimized out in the future by developers. 10/10 would recommend the fold 8, the experience takes a little getting used to but it's such a different feel from the slim folds and typing jow is no longer an exercise in patience!
