[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the Samsung Z Fold 8 for a plethora of reasons, but mainly for the form factor. I use my phone mainly for social media and reading books, and this phone seems like it was made just for that! The screens are beautiful, crystal clear, and I love how bright both the outer and inner screens can get! The new battery this year is also outstanding and lasts me a whole day with no need to charge it or worry the battery will die on me. I would recommend this phone to anyone who uses their smartphone for FUN!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm really impressed with the Galaxy Fold8. The large inner display is fantastic for multitasking, watching videos with less black bars, gaming, and everyday use. The thinner and lighter design makes this generation feels much more refined and comfortable than previous models.
My only real gripe is one-handed use and the lack of telephoto zoom lens. When folded, reaching all the way across the opposite side of the screen can be a little difficult. I choose to remedy that by pairing it with magnetic clear case and a Popsocket Low Pro. This combination gives a much more secure grip and makes reaching across the screen significantly easier without adding too much bulk. With regards to the lack of telephoto zoom lens, I'll just have to live without it.
Overall, I choose to embrace the Fold8 because I've been wanting a more normal phone experience vs the candidate very narrow feel of the Ultra. I've had Fold3 and 5 and upgrading to this phone from the 5 is a huge and warranted upgrade. I'm glad I went with the "wide" version I've actually been more productive than the slimmer form of foldables.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had the Z Fold 4 and 5, and wanted an upgrade to something lighter, but the same phone as I had in the past. I looked at the 8 Ultra but decided on the 8 because of its shape. It just fits in the pocket better than the taller 8 Ultra. I've only had it a few days and really love it, especially the battery life. My upgrade is exactly that. A better device.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose to switch from Flip 7 to Fold 8 and wow! I love how functional the front screen is, while allowing me the larger inner screen for movies, games, and video chat. Loving the improved camera and better battery life
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the Z Fold8. It's unique size has been nice to use. The outer screen is handy for quick reviews of text and emails. Videos look sharp and fill the screen. Music apps look novel and remind me of music players of old. The small size make it comfortable to carry in a pocket.
The large inner screen is a good size for productivity. My web based tools have space to use comfortably.
Something to note are the really small font sizes. That will will be personal to each person but takes a few tries as it may affect how apps are displayed. Also, since most apps aren't optimized for these screen sizes, some will look off like only showing in the middle of the screen in landscape or running off a side in portrait.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I pre ordered the Galaxy fold 8. I used it for around a week. The phone is great and the fold crease has diminished substantially. The screen quality was amazing and I was surprised by how long the battery lasted. I ended up returning it due to being worried of damaging it and being slightly paranoid about it not being dust resistant or having the inner screen get damaged accidentally. I say its almost there because it is "almost there." The phone is great but not having the best cameras is a big fault in a 1800 dollar phone. None the less I'm sure it will be a great phone for most people. The chose the Ultra 26 as a replacement and am more than happy!
