[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is one of the most amazing phones I have ever held in my hands. The passport sized screen is perfect and after a while of use will make standard phones feel ridiculously long. The screen is seamless when swapping from folded to unfolded. Gaming is one of the best experiences on this device. The screen is very responsive and smooth to the eyes when scrolling. Looking forward to future updates and better support from apps due to the new form factor. This is the future and the future is here.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose to trade in my Galaxy Fold 6 for the Fold 8 (wide), and I have no regrets! The Fold 8 is noticeably lighter and thinner to hold. Two handed typing on the cover screen is a big upgrade too; no longer am I constantly needing to backspace and correct typos due to the cramped Fold 6 keyboard. I usually unfold to watch media; the aspect ratio is much better for this on the fold 8. And for some reason, it also is better at noticing when I rotate my phone when I have screen rotation turned off (it gives you a button to click to rotate it manually). When rotated into portrait mode on the inner unfolded screen, full screen apps also work better than on the fold 6. The cameras are a disappointment though. Definitely a tradeoff for poorer cameras compared to the ultra. Also no S pen support is a big disappointment too. And lastly, battery life is just ok. I wish they went even more with the silicon batteries like the Chinese companies. If Oppo and Honor can pack their phones with pen support (even on the front screen) and bigger batteries and same thinness, then I don't know why Samsung doesn't either. All in all, I am happy with the Fold 8 for the short time I've had it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Switching from the z fold 7 to this device marks a noticeable change, though one that is thoroughly welcome. The front screen offers a significantly improved experience, delivering sharper visuals and smoother performance. Overall, the transition reflects a step forward in design and functionality, aligning well with expectations for a more refined foldable experience.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose to upgrade my z fold 6 to the new z fold 8 and I'm glad that I did. The form factor is great.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the Galaxy Z Fold 8 because of the size. This is the perfect size for carrying closed and consuming content when opened. It is also well balanced in the hand when opened for 2 handed use. The keys are not too crowded or too far away. I do miss the telephoto and an s pen but I have my S26 Ultra for those duties.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose this cell due to the new wider base screen. Battery life is good and the only issue is dropping wifi at times and clocking. Can you help with that issue? Everything else is working properly as designed.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose to shake things up a bit and ditch the traditional candy bar phone for a short and stubby passport style foldable. It's been 3 days and I'm loving all the tweaks and customization available in the new operating system I wish that the phone had different camera placement and included a telephoto lens. I miss the old version of the inner display's selfie camera. A tad intrusive and I don't see any use case. The speaker placement could also be better next iteration because it does not provide stereo sound when in landscape viewing on the inner screen. I wish it was $250 cheaper and I could say it was a good value, but it is a solid device.
