A return to an appreciated form

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been into folding phones for a few generations now and was looking forward to the new 8 series. Ultimately I chose the Fold 8 because of the form factor. I miss when phones were smaller, but undeniably I appreciate having a large screen when watching videos. Well, now I can have my petite phone and use it too! The lavender color is a bonus.
I knew I would appreciate the device unfolded in landscape but I never realized how often I'd use it unfolded in portrait for reading and such. Perhaps it's silly but it really makes it feel like a folding tablet rather than an expanding phone, per se.
If I could I'd give it a 4.5 but there are a few tradeoffs for me. First off, while I do prefer using earbuds when I have them, it's unfortunate that the speakers are top and bottom on the left side when unfolded in landscape. Also, I wish the inner camera was in the corner. The crease is very, very minimal, not at all noticeable in normal use. That said, what is noticeable at least with my unit is it doesn't seem to unfold perfectly 180 flat. Not a deal breaker by any means but slightly jarring.
Overall my favorite phone I've owned yet!

I chose a new fold version and I cant ever go back

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first time fold device. They never had my attention mainly because I thkught phones were getting unnecessarily bigger. And the previous folds were 2 phones and heavy. The previous fold 7 cause my attention cause finally it was atleasg the size of 1 big phone. But still didn't Covert me. So for first time I tried the ultra. And then this year when samsung decided to do the fold in a more stout version it hit the mark. I chose fold 8 cause it has a smaller form factor and for most purposes u can operate it closed. And it fits so nicely in pockets and one hand ideation si so easy with the ultra the weight was so imbalances it always felt it was going to fall off. I am so glad I chose to z fold 8 wide. I love it opens to a slightly bigger size to see my emails and read documents. Watching Netflix is really filun due to the size. Some apps specially Instagram looks funky but I feel it's only matter of time it's optimized for this form I am glad I chose and I wonder

Fold + Flip Combined = BEST

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the new Galaxy Z Fold8 after being a long time Fold and Flip user, and this is the best combination of both worlds so far. Closed, it fits in your palm like a passport, easy to carry all day. Opened, it turns into a full tablet, great for work and travel. It is lighter and slimmer than previous models, which makes a big difference when you are using it for hours. The camera is excellent and handles everything from quick shots to detailed work photos with ease. Overall this is a huge step up and the best Fold experience yet.

I Love my new Z Fold8!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so excited about my new Z Fold8, I can't quit talking about it! My friends are bearly tired of my enthusiasmover a phone. Personally, I think they are jealous! I think they will secretly start shopping for one themselves soon!
I chose the Z Flip8 because of the size of the screen when unfolded. I'm 66 years old and my eyes get tired quickly which makes texting and messaging my family and friends difficult. My grandkids like texting me all sorts of silly things or just to say Hi and I want to be able to keep this line of communication open as long as I can. With the bigger screen, I don't have to strain to read their messages and my fat fingers can easier reply. The screen size also makes it easier for me to play my 'Old Lady' games like Mahjong, Word Search and different card games.
I chose the Pistachio Green color because it is rather trendy and a beautiful color. It's also easier for me to find my phone when I can't remember where I left it!
I'm very impressed with the light weight of my new phone and my techy family was impressed at how slim it is folded up. All in all, I'm so happy that I waited for the Z Fold8 to come out! I'm pretty sure there will be many friends and family soon showing off their new ones!

This is it....

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the perfect phone. I have had every model year of the Z Flip and several of the Z Fold. The Z Fold 8 is the perfect marriage of the two, and I chose it to replace my everyday use of the Flip. Within the first day, it became clear I wasn't going back to the Flip, which surprised me. I rarely used the cover screen on the Flip, although I had all the tools to do so. With the Fold 8, I use the front screen a lot and don't feel the need to open it every time I use it. And critical factor is that it fits in my pocket, which was a downfall with the previous Folds - too cumbersome for carrying. All in all, it's pretty perfect and I'm glad I chose it.

Still undecided about Fold 8 or Ultra

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used and loved Samsung folds since they began. I chose to go with the Fold 8 despite some hesitancy about the new, smaller form factor, given that my work benefits from lots of real estate.
So far though I love it. While the Fold 8 inner screen is noticeably smaller than my former Fold 7 screen, I'm using the Fold 8's inner screen lots more because the Fold 8's weight, balance, and smooth edges make it so much easier to hold. I also love that I can readily optimize for either vertical or horizontal media. Turning my Fold 7 ninety degrees didn't help much at all because of its squarish format.
I have always loved Samsung displays and the Fold 8 lives up to the standard. Rich colors, sharp details in nearly any light. And I love the Fold 8's buttery smooth ooperations. Due to the larger battery, more efficient processor, and perhaps the somewhat smaller screen, my Fold 8 easily makes it through the day, unlike my Fold 7. I do miss the optical zoom and hope it returns soon; 10x digital zoom is pretty fuzzy. Otherwise my pictures are excellent.
Thus, so far I am mostly thrilled with the Fold 8. So much so that I enjoy using it for its own sake, not just to get things done. It's fun!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using this phone for a week. I am no longer scared Simply Amazing. I thought the wide small factor was going to be to different. But turns out I like it a little better than the new ultra version. The gaming and movie watching is amazing. Look forward to diving in it more.. Great job Samsung.
