This phone deserves the 'Ultra' label

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Z Fold 6 was getting a bit old. I skipped the 7 generation, because I didn't want to give up the S-Pen. However, I noticed that I hardly ever use it any more with voice input.
It was time to upgrade. I chose the Ultra 8 over the standard (wide) 8, because the taller form factor best matches my usage, especially after owning multiple prior Fold editions. I use my mobile for texts, voice calls, emails, and web browsing, including news channels. I do not do mobile gaming, but do occasionally do some streaming video with earbuds. Keep that in mind for my comments.
Thus far, the Fold 8 Ultra has exceeded my expectations. The inner and outer screens are spectacular. Less reflection, more brightness and clarity. The size, only fractionally larger than my prior Fold 6, has significantly better usability.
After some days of use, I definitely notice better battery life with my usage pattern. I'm guessing I will get close to 3 full days of use per charge.
I've tried an active capacitive stylus, and it works well as an S-Pen substitute. I just have to figure out a case or process where it doesn't get forgotten.
Despite the hype, the crease is still present, just dramatically reduced. I can see it and touch it if I try, but it doesn't intrude on normal usage.
I do notice a pause when taking photos, which might improve with software patches. Until then, I have to hold the phone steady for longer than in the past.
There are some UI changes I have to adjust to or change....

Amazing for work productivity

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to try out the new foldable since the crease is much less noticeable and I switch between screens so often. With the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra I'm able to have two applications open at once and move between them seamlessly. This used to be a several step process now that is a single click (Slack+Claude, Gmail+Slack, etc.).
My 4 year old and I watch movies and it's a lot better than even my old S series Ultra.

I'm still learning how to use the multi windows but it has already been a phenomenal experience in the couple days I have had the phone. The ability to easily multitask without having to swap apps has been a game changer for me. I also appreciate the narrow form when the phone is closed for easy single-hand use.

The samsung fold 8 ultra is a huge improvemnt

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had the fold 5 for 3 years and loved that phone. When I got this phone the difference between the 2 phones is insane. They have changed the phone alot in 3 years and if you have a phone that old I would recommend checking the phone out or considering upgrading.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Coming from a galaxy ultra, I chose this phone because I wanted something narrower yet big enough for comfortable viewing. On day two the device started overheating. I am hopeful that this is not the start of an early battery death.
