[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Even when many might think that is "just another yearly upgrade", it is impresive what Samsung as a brand can actually achieve on a span of a year when it comes to improving their products, making it so it feels like a completely different experience from the Fold 7 to the Fold 8 Ultra. It is my 4th upgrade in a row, starting from the Fold 5 and now a days it feels pretty much impossible to me go back to a regular one-screened format phone, not to even think of changing to another brand. The titanium layer is definitely a great feature while keeping the device SO thin thanks to the silicon carbon battery. Definitely best foldable so far, hands down.

a truly Ultra experience

Its been about 5 years since my last phone and it was time for me to upgrade. I liked both versions of the fold that Samsung offered this year im am more than satisfied with my decision. I chose the Z fold 8 Ultra and was blown away. the 1st thing I noticed is how thin the phone has become. Compared to the outdated model I was amazing and was just looking at both phones front to back, inside display and closed and I couldn't be more happy. The experience felt like christmas to me.. the outer display is bigger which I love and the inner display also increased all while the size and weight decreased. Im not sure how samsung does it. when I used the phone the battery went all day without a charge which im definitely not use to. So many new features im still learning plus all types of customization from being an android.. 10 out of 10 for me. Samsung has a master piece.

The foldable I chose for me!

I've been excited to see everything it can do and all the new baked in hardware improvements as well as environment features that integrate into each other. I have the new Ultra 2 watch as well and it rounds out the ecosystem for me, collecting health info and creating daily reminders to make life smoother overall. So happy I've stuck with Samsung for over a decade now!

This is an amazing phone

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Fold 8 Ultra is the best in Fold series so far. They have lessened the crease, put better cameras in and it comes with the latest android software. I have been a Fold user since the Fold 3 and I don't see myself going back. I use the multitasking split screen feature almost everyday. The phone is buttery smooth and feels like a normal candy bar phone when Folded. I am really enjoying my experience with this phone and I'm still learning how to take and edit pictures in a more creative way. The new edit feature that allows you to edit photos and video along with the new filters allow you to create some really cool looking media.

What crease?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Coming from the Fold 7, I wasn't expecting a huge jump after only a year, but I chose to upgrade anyway and I'm glad I did. First thing you notice is the crease, or rather that there isn't one. I keep running my thumb across the middle out of habit and there's just nothing there. The hinge feels tighter too, less wobble when it's partly open, and it snaps shut with more authority.
The brighter screen is real. I noticed it the first time I used it outside, which is usually where these phones give up.
Smart Switch also surprised me. It gets a little better every time and this round it was completely painless. Everything came over, apps, layouts, logins, and by the next day I honestly forgot I was on a different phone.
Only gripe is the color options. Pretty safe choices. A skin will fix that, but it would be nice to have more to pick from up front.
I usually trade in every year. This one I think I'm keeping for two.
