[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is the phone I chose for everyday life, and as a retired Marine, I appreciate things that are built right and just plain work. It is exceptionally simple to use and makes my daily routine smooth, simple, and easy. Opening up that large screen makes viewing everything clear and hassle-free without any unnecessary complexity. It is a reliable, high-quality device that gets the job done every single day. I chose this awesome phone.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the zfold 8 ultra the same way I chose the zfold 6 the zfold 5 and the zfold 4 because I believe in samsung and I believe its doing great things and advancing technology as I write this I cant wait for all the wonders you shall bring I also cant wait for the trifold 2

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the fold 8 ultra due to the new specs, I am in awe at everything! From the quality to the feel of the device. It truly feels like an upgrade!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I want to be clear that I did not want to like this phone. I owned a Galaxy S24 Ultra. That thing was an emperor. It sat on my desk like a monolith, daring other phones to approach.
Then I unfolded 4.1 millimeters of the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Olive Green, 512 GB, and my emperor became a paperweight with abandonment issues.
Four point one millimeters. Unfolded. Two hundred fifteen grams. I have held business cards with more presence. And yet somewhere inside that impossible sandwich, Samsung crammed a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, up to 16GB of RAM, a terabyte of storage, and an 8-inch display that hits 3,000 nits—roughly the brightness of my own poor decisions at 2 AM.
The 200MP main sensor with HDR does not photograph my dog. It depresses him. The 50MP ultrawide shoots 8K in APV, a codec I did not know existed forty-eight hours ago and now defend in comment sections. Cine LUT is on a phone. On a phone. My first camcorder had a fabric strap and a tape deck.
Battery: 5,000mAh, 45W wired, 25W wireless. It goes all day. It has gone all day every day since it arrived, and every day it looks at me like it's not even trying.
One honest complaint, because I'm not a press release: there's still no built-in magnetic ring. If you want magnetic charging, you're buying a case. In 2026. On the Ultra.
Verdict: My S24 Ultra is in a drawer. It doesn't know yet. I don't have the heart.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In the past, it was a hit or miss when transitioning over to a new phone. This time...perfect! The ultra fold 8 is a great phone. I do miss the option of being able to use a pen when the phone is unfolded.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is a massive step forward. Out of all the foldable devices available, this is easily the best phone I chose to buy this year.
The updated overall dimensions make standard typing noticeably easier on the Z Fold 8 compared to the Z Fold 6, where the keyboard layout forced letters too close to the screen edges. On top of that, I really love the thin profile—it feels remarkably slim both in hand and in my pocket.
From a productivity standpoint, it has completely transformed how I work. I rarely take my laptop with me when I travel now because I can handle almost all of my daily tasks directly on this phone.
My only critique comes down to the accessories: I wish the official Samsung cases you order with your phone came with a front cover rather than just a back case. For a device like this, having complete front-and-back protection out of the box would be ideal. Overall, it's an incredible device and a true laptop replacement!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the new Fold because of its smaller profile when folded in comparison to my S25 Ultra. I also wanted a larger screen for working with documents. But the most exciting feature was the ease of set up. Transitioning to the fold was a breeze that included a full back up first. This is the best Samsung phone that I have ever owned.
