Over all a great fridge. The only problem is that the left hand door closes with a jarring thud because it is so heavy. You have to keep your hand on the door to control the closing speed. The service man who c and to look at it said that it was a function of the design. LG used the same door without a cutout for a water dispenser for this model which has an inside water dispenser. Without the cutout, there is more insulation etc, so this door is heavier. Hence it closes with more force. Am annoyance but not a deal breaker.

Left door slams shut very hard and dislodges the contents of the door bins. Door bins can’t bend adjusted to custom heights and the fixed spacing does not accommodate tall containers.

I am happy with my purchase, in general. I feel like the shelf configuration could be better. I’m extremely limited on space for taller items, but, it works fine, overall. I did have an issue with the unit not cooling; everything in my freezer thawing, and the fridge warming. I had to toss about a thousand dollars worth of food.
The fridge lights were still on, which was a confusing thing- it was on, but not working.
I had a very good experience with a phone call to customer service, and learned that because while having some electrical work done, a breaker had been shut off, then quickly turned on again, and that was enough to cause the motherboard to shut down, and need to be reset. I was able to reset it, and it began working fine.
I think this is a problematic design flaw. If the fridge is not cooling, then the lights and everything should go off, and perhaps an easily accessible, specific reset button should be present. That way you can see that the unit is not cooling, long before you find your stuff thawing. It should also have a built in surge protector, so this DOESN’t happen, with so many power “flickers” that occurs in my area.
But, I do like the look and sleek profile of the fridge, and this was the only issue I have had with it so far. As I said, the customer service person was very professional and helpful.

I bought this a little over a month ago and am obsessed. Prior to this - we had a different counter depth fridge, that i really hated... didn't have nearly enough space. Switched to this counter depth max for the space and really love it. I go grocery shopping and STILL have space in the fridge. We took the old one into the garage for extra storage and haven't had to use it one time! Thank you so much LG for making this!!

Excellent refrigerator, owner's manual isn't great

This is a terrific refrigerator. It meets all our needs and is meeting all our expectations, and there appear to be a number of models in this refrigerator "series" that have a range of features that we neither needed nor sought. It's high capacity and "countertop" depth coupled with it not having features that we didn't want along with a competitive price made it a great purchase. The only drawback is the owner's manual (there are hard copy and somewhat different online PDF versions). Important information is lacking. For example, this refrigerator can dispense cold water (inside) and make ice without having to have an internal water filter. Since we have a highly filtered water line in our kitchen, we did not want to use an internal filter (which had been a costly problem with our prior [not LG] refrigerator). However, neither owner's manual indicates this nor tells how to set the refrigerator up to do so. DISAPPOINTING!
