Not powerful enough

My apartment is about 400 square feet and the humidifier can't keep up unfortunately. It runs full blast, very loud, and can only add a percent or two to humidity

i was a little worried about connecting yet another appliance to WiFi, but I do love being able to modify settings without actually being in the room. I love the precision and the 2 hour drying time, and also the ability to know (based on location data) what outside humidity and temperature are.

Effective and easy to use

I use this in my bedroom. It is a very nice looking humidifier. It’s easy to set up and connect to home WiFi. The water tank on the bottom of the unit has a flip-up handle which makes it easy to move about. What I especially like is the convenience of being able to add water through the top without disassembling a thing. The unit is very quiet on the lowest setting. It is easily heard on the highest setting but it’s not, in my opinion, objectionable. I sleep with the humidifier on a night stand next to my bed with no sleep interruption. The app is easy to use and informative. One convenient feature of the app is a filter life count-down in hours. There is also a filter drying function that displays a countdown to the end of the current drying cycle. I only wish Blue Air made a unit that would handle larger rooms.

Almost good

The actual humidification works fine. 2 areas which should be improved:1. A nice feature is being able to refill directly by pouring into the top without needing to remove anything. However, there is only a relatively narrow area where you can pour without getting the LED screen wet, and you need to keep an eye on exactly where the water is flowing while SIMULTANEOUSLY trying to see how the high the water level is getting in the bottom container. 2. The app does not tell water levels until it is empty, no warning that it is approaching needing a refill.

Great While it Lasted

I have had this humidifier a little over a year. It was super quiet and great to regulate and humidify efficiently. I like Blueair's app and how easy it is to use and control. Love that you can fill it from the top and just regular water will work. However, the pump in this unit would make a whining noise occasionally over the past month or so, but stop within a few seconds. Now the pump won't work at all. I have been careful to put soft water in the tank and keep it clean during it's life. I've tried to clean it, descale it (if there is any scale) dry, change/clean the pump filter but to no avail it seems to be dead. The only thing that seems a little strange is the pins that are concealed in the plastic hood to power the pump seem to be corroding or oxidizing? Tried to contact support and see if I can get a replacement pump and that doesn't appear to be an option. I have an evaporative Vornado humidifier in another room and it's been bulletproof for years. I'd go that route if you're looking for something more reliable.

I like how quiet the humidifier is, and that I can use regular tap water! Nice bonus to have the app to control it, too. And it seems to be managing to work in a fairly large, open space.

In the Northeast with the heat cranking you need to fill daily. Otherwise it goes 2 days. I unplug , leave the connector in, take the chimney off, and then fill with the nozzle at the kitchen sink. Easy to fill and works very well keeping your nose from feeling dry with the heat.
