Well Made Quick Cooling

The Frigidaire App is simple to jnstall and I had no problem adding this unit to my devices. I especially like the sleep mode because I can fall asleep knowing that the unit will turn off so I am not driving up my enegy costs. Also, the display is easy to read and the buttons on the unit and the remote are easy to navigate. Overall a this a sturdy AC unit that is well worth the cost.

Best for all Temperatures

Great Cooling for Our Barn

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We installed the Air Conditioner in a large room in our barn on our farm, but I didn’t realize when purchasing that it required a 230V outlet. We had to wait a few days to get the outlet upgraded, but once installed, it worked exactly as expected.
This unit cools quickly and efficiently, even in the Florida heat, and the fan pushes great airflow throughout the space. However, it can get loud at times, which is the only reason I’m giving it four stars instead of five. The noise isn’t unbearable, but it’s something to keep in mind if you’re using it in a space where sound matters. My office is located in our barn.
Overall, it’s a strong and reliable AC unit—just be sure you have the right outlet and don’t mind a bit of noise!

Love it Love it Love it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit is massive. 18K BTU. But here's the kicker... It has HEAT and AC.
I got the unit in promptly. It was a little heavy and the box was a little banged up. After opening it I found the front cover plate on the top corners were cracked and the filter inside was coming apart. I got replacements coming for these soon. I had to schedule to have a handyman come install the unit in my window.
We both worked on the directions for installation that came in the box. Needless to say they are not so great. I'm very good at assembling things and the handyman was good at following directions but we both had a hard time figuring out the screws, which ones go where. The support mounts that come with it are a bit tiny for the unit, I would have expected something a little more substantial. Either way, we got it installed in the window and built a support outside to keep it upright. We left out the side pieces and built some plexiglass and wood siding that was much more insulated since this was going to be in the window from now till it bites the dust.
Now that were in a cold spell I got a chance to try out the heat. My house is a older historic house so its not an open concept the downstairs portion of the house (where i installed this) is about 1000 SQ feet. I have for years heated the downstairs and upstairs with a wood stove. I decided to give this a spin. I strategically placed a floor fan and used my corner fans as well as my fan to blow the heat upstairs. The heat coming out wasn't hot it was like a forced air furnace it was warm and constant. I set it to 68 degrees and let it run. After about 24 hours of running (on and off, it really gave the house an amazing comfortable temperature. What is nice is it wasn't so dry like the wood stove. I checked it against my energy usage on my meter and it really wasn't making any huge spikes. I used the heat for a constant week trying warmer and colder on it. It has been Amazing. its not really loud even at full blast and it really kept the house so comfortable. The adjustments on the front for the blowing of air are nice. It gives you two separate settings for left / right and of course up and down. I am extremely happy with this unit so far. Just waiting on the replacement parts to come in. Great Job Frigidaire. ! I would highly recommend this!

Great Unit with Heat Too

It served us well for decades and I was afraid we’d have trouble finding a comparable replacement. After much research, we decided on the Frigidaire 18,800 BTU window unit. It offers air conditioning as well as heat which was of upmost importance to us. This unit was slightly larger than the one it replaced and required a newer version of outlet than the one we had so there were some modifications made but the installation was simple after that. The included hardware was perfect. This unit is super quiet and the remote control is a handy addition. It cools and dehumidifies like a champ and heats well too. We are very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone.
