The "eco" mode is designed to save energy, but we understand that it can be frustrating if it activates too often. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my sixth Frigidaire Window Room Air Conditioner in eight years. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchases. However, imagine my disappointment when this unit arrived and there was no "remote sensing" feature included on this model. All photos of this model on the Frigidaire website show the remote sensing feature on the face of the unit. I have the similar 12,000 BTU model with the remote sensing feature which is very desirable. I would not have purchased this FHWC103TC1 model (10,000 BTU), if the Frigidaire photo did not show that it had the remote sensing feature.
