Recommended for family and professional use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For some reason, I use a lot my phone to print work related information as I work remotely, or to print personal documents. I use my printer almost daily and I had an old HP for many years (exactly 10 years). My old HP printer started to act out and I really wanted to see what’s the deal with the new tank printer.
While doing my research, I saw that the amount of ink used will still be the same, but the ink stock you have in those tanks is way bigger.
I was curious and I tried to use premium photo paper, let’s say it didn’t work (Or I am not using it properly, which can be the case too). As it is not my primary use, I will continue to let professionals print my pictures, I am not removing any stars for that. On the contrary, I printed some pictures on good-quality paper, and it was pretty good. For crafts, it is perfect.
Size-wise, the Printer is larger than what I used to have. Larger but lighter. The printing is fast, and more importantly, the quality of the scan is amazing with a resolution up to 1200x1200 dpi (And scanning is super-fast too!). I am working on a side project where I must scan some very old documents and I can get a nice printing resolution on those documents.
After a few days of using it, I didn’t see any changes in the volume of ink. Time will tell if a full tank lasts 6 months to a year. So far, I am very satisfied.

Great color printer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I set this up to use with my computer and phone wirelessly. I did need some help from my husband especially with the phone set up. Overall it took about an hour and half to do the complete set up. It works smoothly, quickly, and prints clearly with great color. Very small display window, most actions need to be done through the app. If you don't mind using the app, and I don't, it works great! If it delivers as promised with the ability to get as many prints as quoted it's a a great deal!

Almost Perfect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This printer has almost every feature that I could want. No longer have to worry about replacing the ink cartridges in middle of a project. I do a lot of printing in spurts, and it is great to know that the printer is always ready for me. Mobile printing is great, and works well from my Android phone.
The print quality is great, and everything I have printed was perfect. The ink lasts a long time (still at 100% for all colors!!). Also double sided printing is a great feature and is much more environmentally friendly. The printer even waits after printing the first side while the sheet dries, before pulling it back in to print on the other side.
The reason that I am calling it almost perfect, as that it really needs a document feeder for the scanner. The flat bed does a great job, but you are limited to one sheet at a time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After having bad experiences with printers, this printer was really easy to set up, and kind of fun. You just squeeze the ink bottles into each section, and you’re done! It was easy to set up with my WiFi, and my favorite feature is that I can print straight from my phone. It prints anything I need within seconds. Overall, it’s a great printer for simple and everyday use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've always been skeptical of home printers. The ink usually doesn't last that long, and the replacement cartridges cost more than the printer. This printer has changed that perception!
Setup was quick and painless using the HP app. I had the printer up and running in no time and wanted to print a variety of things to test it out. Office documents print quickly and cleanly. The blackletters were crisp, with no bleeding or smudging. Color documents printed well, and I was impressed with how fast it printed. I then decided to print a few photos on photo paper. Amazing! The colors were true to my display and the prints looked like they came from a print shop.
Refilling the cartridges was a breeze. I've seen the refill kits for other printers and was always nervous about spilling ink on the carpet or the tile. Not the case here! The refill process is quick and not messy at all.
Overall, I'm very happy with the printer and it's functionality. Job well done!

Incredible Printer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received our HP Smart Tank 6001 and were up and running in less than an hour. The setup was a breeze. The physical setup included installing the print heads and then filling the ink reservoirs. I installed the HP Smart app on a laptop and had the printer connected to our home network in minutes. HP Smart provided a link that I sent to my wife and the children. We were all connected to the printer immediately.
My son was running for Homecoming King at his high school. My daughter designed some flyers for his campaign. The colors and quality of the flyers were amazing!
Our other daughter started a Hispanic Heritage Society at her high school. She designed some flyers and business cards for the society. The results were a success for the society and they were able to sign up 25 students as a result.
My wife was ecstatic about the speed of printing and the ease of scanning. She is definitely the power user for the printer and has easily printed 60+ documents so far.
With all the use the printer received in the first few days of operation, we were surprised of how little ink has been used.

Absolute Upgrade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The last printer inkjet printer I owned had a ridiculous amount of issues - the printer kept blanking out and resetting or just not working at all. I gave up on inkjet and went to a laser printer, but...that was a TERRIBLE move. I have kids who often need to print things that include color for school projects and exams. So - back to inkjet we went.
There were a few specific things I was looking for in a printer:
1. No separate little tanks that cost a fortune to replace and can only be found in certain places.
2. Volume level - the last printer was fairly loud by the standards of "I work from home and make phone calls all day". I need something that is reasonably quiet and not going to disrupt my calls.
3. EASY TO HOOK UP. Last printer needed a masters in...something...to get it to hook up to the wifi and to KEEP it hooked up. I'm reasonably familiar with computers, but man it gets old having to re-enter information all the time.

With these three main requirements in mind? This printer excels. I absolutely LOVE the bottle filling over the little cartridges. It was a little strange at first, but SO EASY. I've already looked, and the ink isn't hard to find, nor is it expensive. The printing itself is definitely quieter than the last printer, though there is one loud noise/jolt when it first starts. But definitely not a deal breaker. And it was quite honestly one of the easiest electronics to hook up to the internet I've had yet. And it STAYS hooked up, which is a bonus for us at this point. It does give off the smallest chime every so often, but it's so quiet - almost like a little fairy chime. I don't know why? But I don't mind it at all.
The printing is not lightning fast, but we don't need that. The colors are good for the sorts of documents we would be printing. I haven't tried any actual pictures, because that's just not something we typically do.

Overall, I am very pleased with this new printer and DEFINITELY consider it an upgrade from not only the last laser printer, but the inkjet we had before. Based on the price online for the printer, absolutely worth the price.

Awesome Printer!

From a homeschooling family I can say we love this printer and look forward to the savings! The ink is so much more affordable which means we don’t have to skip projects. Easy no mess install to boot! Prints are clear and pretty quick. Set up was a breeze!
The scanning feature is awesome! Super easy to use, no confusion at all.
Easily connects to wifi for wireless printing. I print from my phone regularly. I have been disconnected a time or two but it reconnects in no time.
I love the stylish design too!
All in All I am very happy with this printer. I recommend it to anyone who gives their printer a workout!
