I love the printer but I bought it to print my own Christmas cards which it did extremely well but almost every one had black ink lines on the back which of course would be the inside of the card so couldn't use them, I have tried all the tricks like nozzle clean etc but they are still there.
So far a better printer & cheaper to run than my old HP6100 series. I have 2 issues however, the first is the capacity of the paper tray, its abysmal, the second is that the printer advertises double sided printing, I assumed it was similar to the 6100, which automatically printed the reverse side of pages. Unfortunately the 5100 require manual removal of 1st side printed & then replacing that side into the feed tray correctly, the diagram provided is very misleading & makes double sided printing cumbersome & slow. Not impressed at all with that issue.
The ink tank concept is excellent, and the product meets the usual high HP standards. The only thing that I don't like is the paper feeding system manually. It only takes a few pages at a time, so you must keep an eye on it and consider how many pages are loaded before a big print job.
Excellent printer and good quality prints. Downside is the poor set up instructions and the abysmal HP print app that can't even handle a word document 😶
I purchased this printer about a month ago, excellent product specification, easy to set up and really good printing outcomes, an excellent product. I've always purchased HP products and another excellent reason why.
Great product glad I purchased it. I like the INK level displays. Other printers I have owned did not have that facility and I kept running out of ink in the middle of a print run.
