The motherboard and case (bought together) mostly work well, except for two issues: the front-panel USB-c would not connect to the motherboard because the cable and jack were incompatible and the rear microphone jack does not work.

Dear Disappointed Smith,
We do understand your concern regarding the front-panel USB pinout and the audio issue and the inconvenience this may have caused.
To resolve the USB-C issue, please check that the pinout of the cable matches the signalling on the motherboard's USB-C header. With the audio problem, check your input source from the Volume Control properties if it was setup correctly to the microphone and check if the audio driver is up to date. The driver is available for download at: https://www.asus.com/us/motherboards-components/motherboards/prime/prime-b550m-a-wifi-ii/helpdesk_download?model2Name=PRIME-B550M-A-WIFI-II.
Should you need further assistance with the motherboard, please email me at cl-rodel@asus.com and I would be more than happy to help. Also, you can chat with an ASUS live support agent from the link: https://www.asus.com/us/support/article/1135/.
Used this motherboard for my first PC build. Everything went well. Printed Instructions could be better to distinguish between the uses for the 2 different screw sizes. Overall the build went well and it is up and running.
Great basic B550 motherboard. My Ryzen 5 5600G worked perfectly without a BIOS update. The RAM and M.2 storage installed easily and work flawlessly. The UEFI is good enough for what I need. Excellent price for this basic, yet powerful, motherboard.
I would have given 5 stars, but this Mobo isn't compatible with Linux. It works great with a dedicated gpu, but the onboard gpu doesn't work because I can't download Linux drivers. That being said, this is a great Mobo. My CPU is a Ryzen 5 5600G
Easy installation and works great. Only issue was I had to connect my old wireless card so the motherboard could add in the new wireless card that comes on the motherboard. Otherwise, flawless.
It seems to be a rock solid board, I did try a Asrock 450 and was surprised by it's lack of audio processing, where every Asus board I've bought has Never had cheap audio, the Asus audio is full fidelity and much appreciated. This board makes use of the fastest NVME technology PCIe 4.0 so the Samsung 990 is smoking at 7100btps read and 6800 writes.
