Very loud and makes bid mess each time used

This is my second machine, bought first one several years and was great. Bought the Vertuo UP as wanted to upgrade to new machine and mine was wearing out. First look the machine does brew much quicker than previous versions but is extremely loud even compared to previous machines. Once it starts brew process the machine sounds like 50 year old refrigerator kicking on. Next is the capsule tray, once the capsule is used and dumped into the holder it spills coffee into the tray, the bucket holding the tray and even on machine and under tray holder. This basically requires a complete cleaning each time used inside and under machine. To be the latest machine this is a very big disappointment. Could not have been much real testing as seems are basic design flaws. If just used the normal drop in capsule hold instead of sideways capsule seems would have help dramatically. This machine will get replaced immediately with something that does not make such mess. Really disappointed in Nespresso on this one .
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We expect your Nespresso experience to be seamless and gratifying, Carl. The pump in your new Vertuo Up should produce less noise over time. The ideal surface for the machine should be solid and flat such as hard wood or a granite countertop. We also recommend running a cleaning cycle weekly and descaling with Nespresso Descaling Solution every 3 months or 300 capsules to keep your machine in peak operating condition and coffee tasting best. Descaling Solution and instructions are available on our website. This sleek little beauty completely won me over from day one and turned my everyday coffee routine into something I genuinely look forward to.
Design wise, it looks stunning in my kitchen. The black color is elegant, modern, and minimal, and the build feels solid and well made. Nothing feels flimsy or cheap. It is compact but confident, the kind of appliance that quietly upgrades your whole space.
Using the machine could not be easier. You pour water into the tank, place a capsule into the holder, press one button, and that is it. Coffee magic happens. As someone new to coffee machines, I truly appreciate how intuitive and stress free the whole process is.
What really impressed me is the variety of capsules. There is an incredible selection of flavors, blends, and limited editions. I personally ordered my favorite coffee with refreshing mint notes, while my husband went for hazelnut flavored capsules. Being able to switch flavors depending on mood feels like having a little coffee shop at home.
The coffee itself tastes amazing. Rich, aromatic, and perfectly brewed. Every sip feels indulgent. Through the app, you can easily adjust water volume and temperature. I love my coffee extra hot and slightly more diluted, and the customization options make that effortless.
Cleaning is refreshingly simple. All removable parts are easy to rinse with water or wipe with a damp cloth. No complicated maintenance routines and no guessing when the machine needs attention. The app lets you know exactly when cleaning or care is required, which is a huge plus.
Performance wise, it works smoothly and consistently. The temperature is spot on, the extraction feels balanced, and the machine delivers great results cup after cup.
I would absolutely recommend the Nespresso Vertuo UP to anyone who loves coffee culture and enjoys experimenting with flavors and blends. Especially if you are new to coffee machines like I was. This one makes the experience joyful, simple, and genuinely delicious.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I won’t lie - this machine is amazing but not so beginner friendly if you’re new to the world of coffee and coffee machines lol. As someone who doesn’t drink coffee on the regular, trying to figure out how to use this was a struggle but the app sorta helped! I wasted the first pod not knowing how to properly insert it. I love how slim this machine is, it hardly takes up any counter space! It’s a little louder than I had anticipated, but it isn’t a bad thing at all!
I’m looking forward to purchasing some decaf pods!

I am now a barista in the making for my family! This machine makes it easy, hot or cold! I can make expressos, hot coffee, cold coffee, or even on the go drinks! Set up of the machine was easy, parts were few, plastic is thick and durable. Only a few - three buttons on the machine! Directions, manual and guarantee are easy to read, navigate and includes pictures, and QR codes for videos linking to YouTube with full instructions! coffees were included, first use was a breeze. there is a downloadable application, easy to use, not necessary to use this machine however! this machine can be connected via Wi-Fi - but only enhances experience to customize coffee and access settings. again, if you don't use this feature this machine is still a superb choice! Nespresso has a sized recyclable cup/pod system, made of aluminum, for different types of coffee drinks- small, medium, large and extra large for different kinds of coffee drinkers' preferences!! when the machine is connected to Wi-Fi through the application you can customize cup length and temperature, simple maintenance, have access to step by step recipes, guides and support. I found this application to be super helpful, easy to navigate and was seamless to connect. Ready to Brew in seconds this coffee machine is ready when I am! I love the sleek design, lightweight and minimal! I like the pod loader - easy, fast and drops into machine so I can recycle later! I had no issues with this machine, no leaking but I did notice a small drip tray that I will have to make sure to empty more often though. I don't care if machine is noisy or not, but it sounded like it wasn't any noiser than prior machines I've owned, actually possibly more quiet! Pods cost was the only drawback, and that has nothing to do with this superior machine! The included pods and exclusive limited edition coffees were also amazing and Nespresso showed up in flying colors with this machine to make these delicious coffee concoctions!

Loving It So Far!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really enjoy this machine! I drink iced coffee, so coffee creations mode is a game changer. My only complaint has been some type of malfunction where the pod maybe slipped out of place, and most of the coffee ended up in the used capsule area. The coffee that ended up in my cup was extremely watery. I lost about 5 good pods to this, and this is my only reason for deducting a star.
