Superb design advances!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Vertuo Up is a superb advance over the previous models because it is fast and quiet, but most of all because the capsule insertion system is simple and quick to use. The footprint is slimmer, and the ability to rotate the water tank from left to right or in the middle allows adapting it strategically to different countertop situations. Altogether, a great values!

Great Crema and wonderful coffee selections

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this coffee/espresso maker a month ago because my father had one similar and it made the best coffee that wasn't bought in a coffee store. The selections are all great. Haven't tried the iced coffee yet but my wife loves iced coffee so I'll give it a try for her. Highly recommend the machine.

I love love love the nespresso vertuo up! I love the color as well. It’s beautiful in person! I enjoy making my coffee at home now. If you’re thinking about it, just buy it!

Terrible, don’t do it

This is my second Nespresso machine and it’s terrible. I miss my old one so much (just stopped working after 4.5 yrs). This one makes a huge mess when you have to empty the used coffee containers. Liquid is everywhere in there and goes all over the counter when taking it out. The coffee also isn’t hot enough. I already tossed the packaging or I would return it. Do not buy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Messy collection bin

Disappointed with the collection bin. Water and coffee grounds in the bin are an everyday issue. Instructions claim that is normal when doing the initial rinse or descaling. Continues when making coffee as well. The bin needs cleaned and rinsed out daily. New machine poorly designed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great brewing machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great coffee maker and has so many features. Set up is easy with scanning the QR code and downloading the app. Connecting the machine with Bluetooth was quick and easy to register . The app lets you adjust the temp (cold, normal, hotter) which is a really nice feature, depending on what you’re in the mood for. It includes videos showing how to clean, descale, brew, etc which was nice. There’s even recipes so you can be an at home barista . It’s so easy to brew- just drop a pod in, push the lid down , press the button. If you want to get creative - there’s a “creations” button where you can make adjustments. The. Pod sizes vary based on the type of coffee drink you’re brewing. I like how every cup makes a nice froth on top. All the flavors I’ve tried that came in the sample selection have been great tasting. Can’t wait to keep making more specialty drinks.

Controllable brewing temperature and volume!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the Vertuo Up to replace an original Vertuo Breville machine which gave me good service until recently when it grew very loud and started leaking. The Vertuo Up provides a couple of major improvements to the old machine.
1) It brews coffee at a much higher temperature. This was a weakness with the old machine, as I like my coffee hot. With the old machine I had to pre-heat the coffee cups to compensate.
2) The Vertuo UP accepts the larger pods that can brew 12 and 18 oz coffee
3) The mechanism that punctures and loads the pods is easier to use
4) The new machine can connect to my WiFi to allow control from my IPhone. With the Nespresso app I can control brewing temperature and brewed cup volume. It is also useful for maintenance procedures and getting coffee recipes.

The machine has a compact footprint on the counter and easily fits under the kitchen cabinets, even when the pod loader is fully extended up.
Before making my decision to purchase I visited my local Nespresso Boutique where I was able to compare it to other models and try the machine out before buying. It was a great experience and sealed the deal. I have no purchase regrets.
