So far so good. I've only had it for a few weeks and this thing is awesome. If you ever choose to get into any other diving this watch will have you covered. Definitely worth the money. My only negative is for how much you pay i wish it included the heart monitor ekg tech but still worth it.
I’ve been diving for 30 years and have seen dive computers become common. Having used almost every watch computer that came, out I can confidently say there isn’t another one to match the Descent Mark 3i. Get it from a dive shop and they will show you all the amazing features it offers
I had the MK1 one, but I covered it when the MK2 came out…The MK3 is the dream machine!
Extremely bright screen, the ability to change your gas underwater (I accidentally had mindset as air and I was able to correct/switch it on the fly) was the best!! I may just get rid of my primary integrated computer and use this full-time! But for now it’ll remain my super pack up time depth monitor.
I upgraded from a Samsung watch 44mm the battery life on the garmin is incredible. The health tracking is also so much better than the Samsung. I went diving with my local dive shop and the owner was asking about it and now he is looking into being a seller of garmin. I can't wait to get a T2 transponder to try it out with the watch.
I was on the fence about getting the MK3i, but really liked some of the new features and thought I would give it a try.
My MK2i is an outstanding dive computer and worked well for me as both a dive computer and smart watch. I like the idea of being able to send messages underwater but what sold me was the new, brighter display. It is truly a game changer.
Additionally, I use the Garmin InReach Mini 2 in the dive case whenever I dive. The ability to send messages when I surface, from my watch, to my family and friends was good with the MK2i; but, the interface to type in messages with the MK3i is at a whole new level.
I've been a Garmin watch fan for decades! When the very first G-Shock came out I was so impressed with it's ruggedness and features that I continued wearing it for years upon years! I then bought a boat and thought it was very cool to purchase a Quatix - a watch that had a trickle solar charger built right in was amazing! Now with the Descent Mk3i, I can track all of the activities I've used my watches for in the past, but NOW being a Scuba Diver who dives about 50 dives/year my dive computer (along with all of those wonderful tracking abilities of the past) are on my wrist in a beautiful screen! I love the look, the feel, and the ability of this watch - along with the battery life of 26+ days! Great job Garmin! You really knocked it our of the park with this device!
