I lost the Mk2i earlier this year off the coast of Cozumel Mx. while diving. Now I have the Mk3i which is a big game changer. I can track my workouts, GPS mapping and tons of other awesome things. Changing the clock faces is really nice. It like having a new watch with every face change. The colors are so vibrante with the AMOLED screen. I have the T2 just need to go back to Cozumel MX try it out and look for my other watch. I am very happy with this watch. I also bought some different watch bands that make this watch really nice looking. It is a very good purchase for me.
Got this a month ago mainly to replace my old diving watch and I thought why not track my hikes etc. Been loving the looks and how it has motivated me to be a lot more active.
Had the watch for a month, too menu submenus that are confusing, very complicated, not an easy watch to use, the dive maps that are supposed to be available are not, you can’t find them, it is supposed to have up to 23 days in the smartwatch battery, I can only get 9 days. Very hard to get to what you want, such as setting up the watch face or adding a WiFi network with a password. I like the design of the watch and the big numbers but as of now that’s the only thing that I like, everything else is just to hard to find and setup.

Thank you for your review and experience with the Descent Mk3i. We would like to discuss this further over email. If you would please email us at product.support@garmin.com.
This thing has everything. Obviously, the dive features are spectacular but having the option to use golf apps and hiking apps. The flashlight was a cool surprise. It wasn’t just the face lighting up, it’s an actual light on the side of the case. Definitely an upgrade from my fenix6. Highly recommend!!
Love the large format numbers and letters, so much easier to see at depth. And the battery does seem to last forever, no more worrying about 3-tank dives! All features great; only issue I have is that I also use the watch for lap counting while doing swimming workouts, and sometimes it misses a lap; sometimes it recovers a few laps later but on occasion it does not.
