I loved my Descent Mk2i and love the Mk3i even more. Display improvements are worth the upgrade. The flashlight is not a bad touch and far superior to the white screen "flashlights" many watches include. Only improvement I'd like to see, which could be provided via software upgrade (Garmin, take a hint) would be a sidemount mode, with programmable reminders to switch tanks.
I will keep it for life I am not a diver I was extremely tired of replacing my watch due to water damage I qm a land surveyor in texas I use the sensors to keep myself from running into stuff since I survived a stroke
It also keeps track of health and my location and emails my wife if I fall
Hope garmin will add blood pressure monitoring and ekg monitoring to it
Cause of the watch I am back to work 60+ hours a week I am 66 years old
I bought this about February and have been using it religiously especially for diving it was bought to replace my SUNYO Steel and Apple Watch. For the most part I have been pleased however it is very annoying that the main button is so much larger than the other buttons causing it to go into dive mode randomly throughout the day. Other customers have complained about the same thing. I have brought it up to the rep a couple of times it was said change button settings or lock em out temporarily however that seems counter intuitive for wearing this beautiful computer all day just to have to keep unlocking because the one button is so much larger than the others
Just got done using it to dive for 2 weeks in St Lucia and it performed very well. You have to pay attention to start the dive and make sure the gps is on before going in and make sure your arm is out of the water to end, that way it will record you entering and exiting points. It will record your heartbeat if it is touching your skin vs over a wetsuit. Also it’s easier to read on the inside of your wrist
I bought this smartwatch a couple of weeks ago and have tried it out while golfing, scuba diving, and mountain biking. I love everything about it! The design looks great, and the screen is super bright.
