Mold. Buyer Beware.

this is my third Nespresso machine. I was an early adopter of the Vertuo model machines. After a 5 or so years, I switched to an original machine which I used for 5+ years. I had grown tired of the original pods even after using offbrand to supplement the nespresso line.
So I decided to try the new Vertuo Up machine. I was excited that it was tall enough that I could fit my iced coffee cups, as well as my travel mugs under without having to lean them. I also adore the blue bottle nola blend so I was excited. I would be able to get it at home even if it cost a little bit more than their other coffees.
I’ve had the machine for over a month.
I love what you see on the counter, and I have really enjoyed the coffees I’ve made.
Imagine my surprise this morning when I went to dump, they used pods into my recycling bag and discovered the entire water bin and bottom of the pod disposal and covered in mold.
That never happened with either of the other models. If I could attach the pictures to this review, I would.
i’m angry right now because I just spent $100 on pods for this machine I was so excited I opened four of the boxes and dumped them into my container where I stored them
So when I take this back, I’m going to lose money
But I can’t have a machine creates mold sitting on my counter. also I don’t know if the mold is just in the Bass or if it’s in the machine. I’ve had the machine for just a little over a month.
I am sharing this review because I think it’s important that people know that there could be a problem with this machine. I bought it on sale which made me feel good but now I’m wondering if they’re pricing it so low because they know they have a problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent Machine

The coffee is delicious, and the machine is easy to use. One of our favorite features is the Bluetooth connectivity and app, which make it simple to keep track of maintenance, order capsules, and get the most out of the machine. Overall, this has been a fantastic upgrade, and we highly recommend it!

Beautiful and Functional

Quick, Quality, Delicious Coffee Maker! MUST BUY

I wanted a quicker way to make coffee in the morning on work days, rather than my espresso machine, which was great but took forever. This is the ANSWER! The coffee comes out smooth, delicious, a little foamy, and high quality. There are so many different coffee flavor and type options that go with this machine. My FAVORITE part is that it makes ICED lattes! You can easily switch the temperature in the companion app for over-ice coffee drinks. It keeps the full coffee flavor without any watering down. The machine works very simply. I do recommend getting the app so you can customize size and temperature, but it is easy to use! It is overall easy to clean, as well. It has a great system for dispensing used coffee pods into the pull-out bin. The pull-out bin always gets dirty from the coffee pods, but it is so easy to rinse off and clean. The ONLY negative... is that the bin that catches used pods is very difficult to pull out of the machine! I thought I was going to break it the first time. I hope Nespresso can fix this! It is not a negative that would ever deter me from purchasing this. It is a GREAT VALUE for the machine. I HIGHLY recommend purchasing Vertuo Up!! I have NO regrets and would purchase this for any friend of mine who loves coffee, especially if they love cold coffee drinks. This is a MUST BUY! I am so happy with how my coffee drinks come out, and it is perfect for busy mornings.

Can't recommend!

Leaves the pods too wet - my return bag for recycling weighs about 15 lbs and it's a real mess to empty the tray because there's a coffee liquid in it. Unfortunately, having owned a lot of machines, this can happen with these machines. Out the box it didn't work right.
