Terrible, don’t do it

This is my second Nespresso machine and it’s terrible. I miss my old one so much (just stopped working after 4.5 yrs). This one makes a huge mess when you have to empty the used coffee containers. Liquid is everywhere in there and goes all over the counter when taking it out. The coffee also isn’t hot enough. I already tossed the packaging or I would return it. Do not buy.

Very loud and makes bid mess each time used

This is my second machine, bought first one several years and was great. Bought the Vertuo UP as wanted to upgrade to new machine and mine was wearing out. First look the machine does brew much quicker than previous versions but is extremely loud even compared to previous machines. Once it starts brew process the machine sounds like 50 year old refrigerator kicking on. Next is the capsule tray, once the capsule is used and dumped into the holder it spills coffee into the tray, the bucket holding the tray and even on machine and under tray holder. This basically requires a complete cleaning each time used inside and under machine. To be the latest machine this is a very big disappointment. Could not have been much real testing as seems are basic design flaws. If just used the normal drop in capsule hold instead of sideways capsule seems would have help dramatically. This machine will get replaced immediately with something that does not make such mess. Really disappointed in Nespresso on this one .

We expect your Nespresso experience to be seamless and gratifying, Carl. The pump in your new Vertuo Up should produce less noise over time. The ideal surface for the machine should be solid and flat such as hard wood or a granite countertop. We also recommend running a cleaning cycle weekly and descaling with Nespresso Descaling Solution every 3 months or 300 capsules to keep your machine in peak operating condition and coffee tasting best. Descaling Solution and instructions are available on our website. Waste of Money

Another cheap plastic leaky mess. Quality of Nespresso has gone down the gutter. Start using metal parts that last longer. Tanks that don't leak. flimsy parts that can't crack. You produced another machine that doesn't stand out whatsoever. Its overpriced along with the pods that used to be affordable, now they too are overpriced. You have zero loyalty program so the thousands of dollars I have spent give me nothing back in return. The only thing I am looking forward to is the patent to expire so I can get off-brand pods for the Vertuo. Nespresso has fallen off.

Perfect New Lever; Cool New Features

We bought the new Nespresso Vertuo Up because of the easy-to-use design of its lever.
On my first cup of espresso I noticed that the coffee is noticeably hotter than that of my Next machine. Great!
Also, two cool new features: The machine has a “warming cup” feature that “brews” water into an empty cup to warm it up. Also, the Nespresso Smart app has a feature that allows me to brew the coffee at hotter or cooler temperatures.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not a good machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this is my 4th or 5th nespresso machine and by far this is the quirkiest. The instructions that come with the machine are useless but there are videos online from nespresso that actually walk you through the set up. Unfortunately they do not cover the myriad of blinking light options that I am encountering. It should be simple to pop in a pod and press a button but for some reason this machine wants me to press the light twice - and then it is a crap shoot on whether I get a cup of coffee or a dribble of disolored water. This machine makes fun coffee when it works but I have had the machine for 2 weeks now and have already wasted at least a sleeve of coffee...

Good but not great

This will be my 3rd Nespresso Vertuo machine. In general, I have found the Vertuo Up to be adequate. I appreciate the very quick warm-up time and slim profile of the unit. That being said, overall, the machine has a cheap feel to it. It's pretty much entirely plastic and just has a sort of flimsy/cheap feel to it compared to previous machines that had stylish chrome accents. My second complaint is that the "smart features" are very underwhelming. First, you'll need a separate app "Nespresso Smart" to connect your machine. Once connected, you will be presented with a very limited number of "smart" features. Given the emphasis on connectivity for this particular machine, I was expecting a bit more in terms of smart features. Perhaps this will improve over time. Overall, I would say I prefer my original Evoluo.

Messy collection bin

Disappointed with the collection bin. Water and coffee grounds in the bin are an everyday issue. Instructions claim that is normal when doing the initial rinse or descaling. Continues when making coffee as well. The bin needs cleaned and rinsed out daily. New machine poorly designed.

Jammed drawer after first uses - impossible to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the Vertuo Up and the drawer to empty the used pods became almost immediately jammed. It has been unbelievably frustrating to try to troubleshoot and we have been able to find zero helpful resources to solve the issue. For this being the top of the line model and most expensive Vertuo machine, I am extremely disappointed and dissatisfied. I would never recommend this product to anyone based on this experience and how frustrating it has been to try to fix this!!
