Messy collection bin

Disappointed with the collection bin. Water and coffee grounds in the bin are an everyday issue. Instructions claim that is normal when doing the initial rinse or descaling. Continues when making coffee as well. The bin needs cleaned and rinsed out daily. New machine poorly designed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Functionally disastrous, aesthetically pleasing

Aesthetics aside, this machine is awful. It brews horizontally so it's extremely susceptible to residue remaining in the machine and baking in unless you're diligent about flushing it with water after each brew. Its discharge mechanism is also terrible -- after each brew, a lot of coffee residue and water is sent into a plastic container that somehow doesn't actually contain these substances. Every time I pull it out, theres water and coffee on my countertop. What a design disaster, and what a huge step back for the Nespresso brand. Cannot believe, after years of refining designs, this is where we're at. Completely regret this purchase.

High hopes, but disappointed

Had it now for 2 months, and it's the worst I've ever had in 22 years. I have more coffee in the used cap container than in the cup. I clean that thing every day because it is leaving such a mess.

Nice machine with some drawbacks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The versatility this machine offers is great but it is quite a bit louder than our previous vertuo machine and it seems to dilute the coffee down a bit more so the bold nespresso flavor we're used to isn't quite there. Also the machine is more cheaply manufactured which can be felt in the flimsy water reservoir and floating tray (now made of plastic).

I wanted to love this, but…

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Aesthetically this is a piece of art! Beautiful and well-designed. But where it counts, this machine unfortunately falls short. With the vertical pod insertion, too much coffee goes to waste. The inner “drip tray,” beneath where the used pods are ejected, gets FULL after 8-10 brews (depending on what size pod you brew). It fills up quicker than the used pod bin, so if you don’t check it frequently, it may overflow. This is so unfortunate because I was really looking forward to this as an “Up”grade, but sadly this just falls short.

Overall good machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this to replace my defective vertuo next. It’s definitely an upgrade but for some reason wouldn’t go through a full tank empty cycle. However the machine works fine. The pods leave a lot of water behind in the collection tray vs the next, but that just means I empty it more often. I dislike having to video call with a rep every time I have a problem and I have to run through pods at my expense to prove an issue.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Up vs Next

I hardly ever write reviews, but this machine made me do it. I decided to buy this model because I thought the extra features, such as the appearance and the ability to adjust the temperature, were very important. But that was until I had to clean it: after each brewing cycle, there was a huge dirty puddle of coffee spilled all over the trash can. By the way, the CS is aware of this problem and admits that puddles may occur. I returned the model and settled on the Naxt, which I am very happy with. Thank you.
