modern matcha prep set

This matcha set is very modern and pretty - we have other Fellow products and it looks great on the countertop. The spouted bowl is a great size - lovely and functional, whisk and its stand are high quality. The scoop handle is a bit short if you use matcha from a bag. The filter is the only part of this set that needs improvement. using the spoon to push the matcha through it is difficult and can get pretty messy.

Beautiful set but flawed sifter design

This is a beautiful and high quality tea set I have been enjoying with my wife (I bought the pink one). Fellow were thoughtful in making it large enough to serve two people (although I think traditionally each person is meant to get their own). My only complaint is that it is difficult and frankly inelegant getting the tea through the sifter. A wire mesh sifter although not as pretty is nevertheless much more effective and still authentic to the traditional experience.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Terrible sifter, beautiful aesthetic

The set is beautiful. I've wanted a well designed minimalist style matcha set for a long time, but I just couldn't find one before. This set is beautiful to the eye. I love the tray. That said, some of the pieces aren't functional. The sifter is the worst sifter tool I've ever used. Seriously, I can't believe Fellow released this. The ideal tool for sifting matcha is a fine mesh strainer. This tool is about as far removed from that concept as possible. It's not really even a sifter. It's a sheet of perforated steel. The sifter isn't very deep so it's difficult to keep the matcha from going out of the sides and ultimately results in a lot of wasted matcha powder. The scoop is weirdly short for some reason. It works. I just wish the handle was the standard length of regular matcha scoop. The scoop is not long enough to reach into the bottom of some matcha containers. The whisk holder is heavy and hollow, which I like. However, it's angular shape doesn't fit a whisk well and I'm actually concerned it may break the whisk tines more easily. The bowl is very well made and has the best pour spout I've tested. However, it's just a little bit bigger than it should be. I suspect the set is essentially designed to make you use more matcha than should be necessary so you'll buy more of it.

It's a beautiful set which is to be expected. But it's just not quite as functional as I had hoped. The other reviews have mentioned the sifter and spoon just miss the mark. But it sure looks nice.

Overall the quality is excellent on the Fellow matcha set. I’ve been looking for one for a while that mixes function with a clean minimalist aesthetic and this fits perfectly. Durable for everyday use.

I loveee my matcha set it is sooo cute I can leave it out in my countertop and very easy to use. I can keep all my matcha tools in one place. If you love matcha you have to have one.
