Great design, not great functionality.

Design was great, but the sifter and the bowl were suboptimal for making matcha. The traditional sifters that are finer, and a bowl with a slightly rounded and not a flat bottom, are much more effective. The design, however, is lovely.

Elegant design that will become a statement piece for your countertop tea station! The black color sold out quickly so I ordered the white, and it is lovely. The packaging was as thoughtfully designed as the tea set.The frosted bowl and stainless steel scoop are perfect for a modern sleek look. I have a matcha bowl and whisk from Japan, but it is nice to have a base that brings everything together in one place. The rubber grippers on the bottom of the base keep it from sliding around on counter and each item fits perfectly in its indentation for security. The whisk is large and good quality, and I don't mind the shorter handle on the scoop. The pour spout on the bowl makes transferring the tea to my handmade drinking bowl a breeze. However, as others have noted, the functionality of the sifter falls short. While the traditional 'wave' design is calming and the thickness of the stainless steel is exceptional, matcha powder tends to block the sifter even when using the recommended gliding rather than pressing motion. This is the only reason for one less star.

Beautiful set, but sifter is not very practical

First, I want to make sure that I state right away that I think the Fellow Matcha Set is beautiful, sleek, and elegant looking.
Despite reading concerns at least 2 other reviewers pointed out regarding the stainless steel sifter, I decided to go ahead and buy the Fellow Matcha Set in black as I wanted to get the set for my office where I keep my original Fellow Corvo EKG Pro Kettle I purchased a couple of years ago in the solid Classic Black color.
I unfortunately have to agree with other reviewers who feel that the sifter is problematic for its intended use. It's impossible to get all of the matcha powder to go through the tiny holes in the sifter and it is too shallow which makes it too easy to inadvertently knock matcha powder all over the place. Because of it, I end up with a mess on my hands and wasted matcha powder that remains stuck in many of the tiny holes in the sifter.
Also, one needs to practice extra patience using the Fellow Matcha Set sifter as it will take you longer to make matcha compared to seconds using a typical stainless fine mesh sifter. So, although I will keep the Fellow Matcha Set sifter, you will see in the included photo that I also have a stainless steel fine mesh sifter that I have been using instead.
I hope Fellow will consider making improvements to the Fellow Matcha Set sifter and I hope that Fellow will have a new and improved sifter available for purchase separately for those of us who bought the Matcha Set with this version of the stainless steel sifter.

BEAUTIFUL AND SIMPLE

I really like the way matcha looks with white, so that is why I chose the white variant. comparing to the photo on the website, the mixing bowl is more of a foggy transparent finish, which i ended up liking even better. The style and functionality was really thought out.

Sieve/sifter is honestly quite bad and only real complaint. It takes an unreasonable amount of time to actually get all the matcha powder to pass through; I generally end up wasting some, since it's not worth the effort trying to run the oddly shaped spoon over the oddly concave sifter to get fractions of a gram to filter through.
Overall, pretty pleased, despite the sieve falling a little short. It shouldn't really be a deterrent if you like the look of the set, since you can swap in another easily enough if you want.

Sifter and Spoon - Meh.

Don't get me wrong, it truly is aesthetically pleasing, but the sifter and the spoon are just not it for me. I feel like the spoon is just a little too short, and I find myself using a regular mesh sifter instead.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Sleek Matcha Set

I absolutely love the Fellow Matcha Tea Set! The design is sleek, modern, and looks gorgeous on my counter, but it’s also incredibly functional. The whisk creates a perfectly smooth, frothy matcha every time, and the bowl is the ideal size—comfortable to hold and easy to pour from.
Everything feels thoughtfully made and high-quality, just like Fellow’s other products. Since using this set, my morning matcha has become a little ritual I look forward to. If you enjoy matcha or want to elevate your at-home setup, this set is definitely worth it. Highly recommend!

Beautiful frosted glass bowl, my favourite piece in the Matcha Set

I recently purchased my first Fellow product, Matcha Set in Matte White.
Overall, the set is beautifully designed, and I truly appreciate the thoughtful details. In particular, the frosted glass bowl with spout is perfect — it’s my favourite piece and works wonderfully for matcha. The tea tray keeps everything neat and tidy, and the whisk stand is excellent with its ventilated bottom.
However, a few items have not worked well for my matcha preparation:
Sifter: It takes much longer than usual to sieve matcha, and some powder always gets stuck on the mesh, leading to waste and occasional clumps in the latte.
Whisk: The whisk is thick and stiff, which makes it difficult to create micro-foam.
Spoon: Although I like that it is stainless steel, feels sturdy, and has a premium feel and sleek look, the handle is shorter than expected, making it inconvenient to scoop matcha from a zip-lock bag.
