Reality vs Marketing

So I bought this unit for two main reasons. Easy washable filter and wifi app. The operating instructions say filter cannot be washed and then it says to wash it. Fridgidare rep said you need to replace the filter every 3-6 months and it cannot be washed. So which is it?? There is only one filter although the app indicates that athere are two. Also, the app is fine except it does not tell me the most important information; what is the current humidity level? This is in my basement so i'm not there all the time and not even at this property all the time. So how do i even know if its working?? Not sure i should have even rated three stars

What a difference!

WOW, what a difference it makes! Living in Florida, humidity is part of our daily lives, but with this wonder machine our small guest cottage feels like a true oasis. We highly recommend this for anyone who wants to improve the comfort level in their home.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replaced an older Frigidaire dehumidifier with this new one. So far, so good. It doesn't display the actual humidity in the room on the device. It does display the target level but not the actual.

Quiet Dehumidifier

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Replaced a Frigidaire dehumidifier with this new one. Operates similarly with the addition of wifi connection & Smart setting. Quieter. Does not display ambient humidity on the device - you need to consult the app for that info. So far, so good. Hope it lasts at least 5 summers.

Replacement for an earlier Frigidaire

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This one replaces a Frigidaire dehumidifier that finally broke down. So far, so good. It's quieter and removes humidity from our basement air. I dump the bucket at least once daily. Does not display the actual humidity on the device. You can obtain that info from the app.

Not what they used to be.

Had it for a week. Seems to struggle to get humidity down to set level. I have a hygrometer near it. I purchased a 50 pint 2 years ago. It works fine . Has the quality declined that quickly ?
