I bought this before Thanksgiving and was so excited. I love that I can make my coffee hotter, but the machine leaks into the pod collector. Mine grew mold because I was not aware that it was doing that. Now I have to take it out and dry it after every coffee, which is very annoying.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Virtuo Up Machine is Great but with a Flaw

I bought the new Nespresso Virtuo Up machine a month ago and the look is nice and the performance is good. It heats up and brews coffee quicker than my old Nespresso VirtuoPlus machine. The only issue I have with the Virtuo Up machine that made me take 1 star away is because this machine is messy and requires regular cleaing for the pod dispenser container. Their is much more leakage than my old VirtuoPlus which is annoying! I would almost take away 1.5 stars because of this. Overall the machine looks great and performs well.

Poor cheep design not expected from new model

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cheep look verse next and even more expensive Liquid mass inside waste container never had another model I add small rectangle napkins in side too stop liquid mass it’s work they need increase extraction fluid WiFi connection mostly not work Very hard establish Nice option control volume and temperature nice if can do without wifi Custome communication very depended who talk with you from perfect to crap

Review: Vertuo Up – Ink Black

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the Vertuo Up in Ink Black for about a month now, and overall it’s a really solid machine. It heats up quickly, the coffee tastes great, and the sideways‑brewing design actually makes it feel a bit more modern and compact on the counter.
The only downside I’ve noticed is the used‑capsule container. Because the machine brews horizontally, some water or coffee tends to drip into the container after brewing. It’s not a huge issue, but it does mean you’ll want to empty and rinse it more often than you might expect.
Aside from that small quirk, the machine has been reliable, easy to use, and a great addition to my morning routine.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Two Machines, Same Defect

I purchased a Nespresso Vertuo Up expecting a product that consistently works. Instead, I’ve now been through two separate units with the identical issue: water leaves the tank but dumps into the interior of the machine rather than out of the front spout. No coffee is produced. The lever locks fully, the pod is seated correctly, and there are no error lights — the machine simply fails to do the one thing it’s designed to do. After troubleshooting the first unit extensively — priming attempts, reseating the water tank, verifying the lock mechanism — I returned it and received a replacement. The second unit has the exact same issue out of the box. Two machines with the same failure points to a design or manufacturing issue, not user error. I had multiple other people try both machines and no one could fix it. For a machine at this price point, this is unacceptable. I’m disappointed that Nespresso launched a new product with what appears to be an unresolved water routing problem, and I’d encourage anyone considering the Vertuo Up to wait until these issues are addressed. I’ve been a Nespresso customer in the past and genuinely want to continue being one, but I can’t recommend this machine in its current state.

No problems - great machine and great coffee!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this machine for about a week now and was a bit worried that there would be a problem with the drip tray that the pods fall into - I saw many people on Reddit complaining that the water build up was simply too much. Thankfully, I have not run into this problem! The water levels were minimal and very manageable, and I really enjoy all the other aspects of this machine. While I do wish the materials were of a higher quality than plastic, the machine works great and makes great coffee.

High hopes, but disappointed

Had it now for 2 months, and it's the worst I've ever had in 22 years. I have more coffee in the used cap container than in the cup. I clean that thing every day because it is leaving such a mess.
