9/10 only downside is that there’s no way to transfer via lightning cable which makes it a little bit of a faff to get your videos if you’re device isn’t USBC.

We got this since we wanted to get into super 8 film but, as filmmakers in the digital age, didn’t want to wait weeks for processing so having a USB-C compatible camera to just whip out, shoot some vibey scenes and back up immediately has been awesome. We live in Colorado so take it hiking, snowboarding and rock climbing and it gets beaten up pretty good but is surprisingly durable given the price. 10/10 recommend, especially if you want to stay in the moment and not look at a screen while filming. Gives the experience of film with the convenience of digital.

Just picked up the CS8 from Camp Snap and I’m honestly obsessed with this thing. It somehow feels like a toy, a nostalgia machine, and a legit creativity tool all at once. My 4-year-old can use it without me hovering over him every five seconds, which says a lot about how intuitive it is. Everywhere we take it, people stop and ask about it.
What I love most is that it keeps everyone present. No endless settings. No staring at screens. Just capturing moments while actually living in them. It feels less like “content creation” and more like building memories.
Only complaint? You forgot to send me the data USB-C cable. And now let’s get that microphone back in stock because I’m absolutely buying that next. Love the brand, love the vibe, love the mission.
