It is so fun to go around videoing friends and family and be present with them still. The video quality comes out so well and exporting them to your device is very simple.
Absolutely love this vintage/retro vibe. Every time I use it someone asks about it. The videos are great quality and I love the 90's feel to them! Zero regrets for this purchase... I actually went back and bout the CS-Pro Digital Camera too!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Apart from the item not arriving for over a month as it came from USA, it was a quality product and a Christmas gift for my son, he absolutely loves it and uses the camera a lot. He is an art student and loves film making so it’s a very useful thing indeed. Oversell I’d give it 4 out of 5. Recommendation
I am so happy I purchased this video camera for the holidays. We have had lots of fun making videos and sharing with our friends and family. It’s light weight, super easy to use and very easy to download your memories. I love my new video camera!!!
Fantastic fun - my wife and I have been looking for a camera that we don't have to sell an organ to get and also one we don't have to take too seriously. I grew up with an RCA VHS camcorder and loved how easy that was to use and how you could immediately put a VHS tape in and see everything in sequence - no editing, no storage, no uploading, no nonsense. This is as close as we've found to that. It's easy to use, keeps you in the moment, helps you be more intentional, and is just more fun than the phone.
Pros: - Pricepoint is very reasonable for what it is - Easy to use - Pretty good quality - Fairly easy to upload - Standard filming mode really gives the 90s camcorder/30 FPS vibe - Really fun to carry and fun for everyone to pick up and use.
Cons: - Wish the record button felt a little more substantial and had a more definite click. Would also like to see it have an option to lock on without having to hold the entire time. - Mic could be a bit better. It's good, but not as good as the old RCA we had. - Wish the date/and time was embedded onto the clips after uploading it. And also wish there was a Camp Snap software that allowed you to upload everything easily and watch things in sequence with just a simple fade in/out between clips. It takes a bit too long to get everything uploaded and drop into iMovie if you want to just watch everything chronologically like the old days. - A carry bag would be nice. - For those still using lightning phones, you will need to remove the SD card to upload data. This is cumbersome as the cover has two small screws - would like to see that made easier to get to. USB C is able to just plug into the cam with a data cable. - Auto focus to some degree could be improved.
Overall, this cam is a special little piece. Would like to see decent improvements without loosing it's modest price point for simply capturing memories.
