Love the CS8

The videos really look like they come out of a home movie from the early 2000s.
Could use a smoother zoom.
But pretty accurate for the time its trying to replicate, Ive been taking videos of my dogs and wife and it looks like a home movie, a memory, from when times were simpler

It’s hands down the coolest gadget I own.
Every time I pull it out, it turns heads, especially when I’m surrounded by parents holding up their iPhones. The CS8 is such a refreshing throwback, and the vintage Super 8-inspired design gets everyone talking. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been stopped on the street by people wanting to know what it is and where they can get one.
It’s not just about the look though, it’s genuinely fun to use. There’s something magical about capturing video with those nostalgic film effects, without having to fuss with settings or screens. It brings back the joy of filming, plain and simple.
I love that I got my hands on one of the very first models. It feels like I’m part of something special. Can’t wait to see more of these out in the wild, because the world definitely needs more CS8s.

I have been wanting to get into film cinematography for the last few years, but have been too intimidated by my lack of knowledge and the price of developing. This camera has been the perfect choice for me— so easy to use and produces the vintage, super8 aesthetic I am looking for!

The CS-8 is such a fun blend of retro vibes and modern ease. No screen actually helps you stay present and makes it so much fun to relive it all later. The vintage filters give everything a dreamy, lo-fi look (the grainy analog is my fave), and I love that you can switch between formats for Reels, widescreen, and more.
It’s super easy to use, charges fast, and the analog dials and zoom toggle make it feel like a true throwback. Perfect for anyone who wants to unplug while still capturing the moment.

I'm in love! The camera

I'm in love! The camera is bigger than I thought it would be, not a bad thing, it fits well in the hand and has a nice heft to it. It made of plastic but does not feel cheap. Filming with it is a lot of fun, my son also gave it a go and loved it too. Already made a video with it for my artist channel on YouTube.
My only *tiny* gripe is the fact that the cold shoe on top is only decorative. I might stick a cold shoe there to be able to use additional lighting.
Overall a great buy, worth every penny for me.

So much fun to shoot with. The super 8 form factor really changes the way you shoot and create content and for the price and what you get, it is ABSOLUTELY worth the price of entry

Love this camera so much! As a filmmaker I was so sick of trying to frame my shots on an lcd screen or hooked up to a monitor. The CS8 is exactly what I’ve been looking for! The viewfinder , the handle, the retro look and feel of the camera. I just absolutely love it!
