LOVING this fun new faux Super 8! It's a blast! Very solid-feeling. The analog dials are very well thought-out and useful. (I love the ones that show battery life and disk space). The different filters are super fun, too. My favorite is the one that mimics dust and fuzz. The trigger shutter is awesome, because other than turning the camera on and setting the aspect ratio and filter, you just hold the trigger and film, releasing to stop. I can rollerskate, drive, do all the things, without endangering myself to film! This camera was worth the wait!

Missing an easy function

Love everything about it… except. They thought if everything from the old cameras except a “stay on” function. Someone has to hold the button down to film. The old camera button had a slide to it to stay on. Simple. I mean, why provide a screw hold for a tripod but no hold on method. Who will attach this to a tripod, and have to stand next to it to hold the button down. Very odd.

This is a fantastic video camera. It conjures so much nostalgia for the old Super-8’s of my childhood. The filters, zoom, and aspect ratios add creative options, but are kept simple and don’t distract from the purity of the experience of using it. I would give 100 Stars if I could!

Fantastic camera

I absolutely love it so far. It just feels so natural in my hands. I'm super excited to use it for my future projects.
One gripe I do have for this camera is replacing the SD card. The screws for the bottom panel seem to be really in there and it took a lot of effort to get them out. Hopefully future models can find a way to make replacing SD cards a lot easier, as well as holding more memory.
