I am the TrueMentors Coordinator at TrueNorth Community Services in Fremont, Michigan. One of the programs that I coordinate is call Parks in Focus. Each year, we take a group of 10 middle school students to Pictured Rocks National Lake Shore for mentoring and photography. It is a life changing event for all of our students. One that allows them to be 'unplugged' and instead: 'locked in' to the moment that they are in and the world that surrounds them. They then become alumni in the program and get to go on mini adventures throughout the year. Camp Snap is a perfect collaborator in this mission, and I am looking forward to teaching how to be locked in to the world around them in the video world. Creating a documentary of their adventures... without the screen.

I love it, it's so fun and easy to use. I bring it on every adventure so my my phone isn't overloaded with all the videos I like to take, and it keeps me in the moment not being able to review anything until I get home to download it all. I do recommend switching out the SD card for something larger as soon as you get it so you don't have to worry about running out of space. There's 2 things that I think would make it even better: 1.) a lens cover, I'm always paranoid I'm gonna scratch it. 2.) the ability to lock the trigger while recording so I could pass the camera around to friends or flip it around to face myself without a break in the recording or having to maneuver my hand in a weird way.

This camera is everything I hoped it would be! We had so much fun with it on Christmas recording throughout the day. We recently used it at a soccer tournament weekend and my daughter’s friends thought it was so fun to see the video afterwards. Would buy it again!
