The Camp Snap CS-8 has become a staple for my daily carry; it goes with me everywhere.
I really appreciate the "slice of life" aspect of the camera. The manual trigger recording encourages a more authentic way of capturing moments, which I find refreshing. It keeps things simple and allows me to stay present.
However, there are a few areas where a future version could improve:
• Standby Mode: The current auto-shutoff can be a hinderance for quick, spur-of-the-moment shooting. A standby mode would make the camera much more responsive.
• Attached Lens Cap: A tethered cap would be a practical addition, making it easier to toss the camera in a bag without worrying about the lens or losing the cap.
• SD Card Access: A more convenient way to swap out the SD card would be a welcome improvement, as the current process could be streamlined.
Overall, it is a solid, no-nonsense camera that does exactly what it sets out to do.

This little gem is pure magic. The no-screen concept sounds wild at first, but that's exactly what makes it so special. It forces you to stay present and actually experience the moment instead of immediately reviewing every shot. Our clients are absolutely obsessed with it — and honestly? So are we.
The film-inspired filters (especially ANA mode!) give footage that gorgeous, textured 8mm feel that
we spend hours trying to recreate in post. The fact that it does it in-camera is kind of unbelievable.

I just wish the SD card was accessible with a slot instead of having to take out the screws

And the audio was more balanced when using external plug and play condenser shotgun mics
I have tried several mics that work great on other cameras but sound horrendous with this
And a few that do help the audio but have their own balancing settings and boost and gain
