I absolutely love my CS-8! I have taken it on a cruise through Canada and Newport England. Everyone in ship (crew included) wanted to see it. Something new and different for keeping my memories.

Fun Camera

I’ve had this camera out for about two weeks and I gotta say that I’m having a lot of fun just picking it up and shooting life with a family at random. And it gives it that special look with different filters which I absolutely think is fabulous although I wish there were some other filters with different grain and different noise in it, but it is a lot of fun, especially since the images are very clean and sharp. One suggestion for the future, maybe have that sound going as it records just a little bit of that rattling internal camera sound mimicking the film going through its paces internally. Thank you very much.

A Fun, Retro Experience

I got the camera right before a fashion week event. It’s so much fun to use and I love the joy of seeing the photo only when reviewing at my laptop. It helps me be present and compose my shots.

Perfect Retro Form Factor, Great Feature Set

I received the CS-8 in time to take it to the state fair. I had a blast using it. I tried the two vintage modes and the analogue mode. The experience was just what I was hoping for. The footage is very good but not "too perfected. The CS-8 handles exposure differences admirably in the style of a legacy format. I have a Sony A7SII, A7III and NEX VG 900 if I need idealized results. This isn't as fun as pulling the trigger and calculating in your mind what the results might yield. I have a Canon 814XL-S, 310XL, Nikon R10, Minolta Autopak D10, Ricoh 800Z and Nizo 801. This experience is in between a new camcorder and old Super 8 camera. Just what I wanted. It would be fun at a wedding or outside gathering with nice daylight. I am very happy with the CS-8 to say the least.
